"First impressions were “oh, no!” Reception area seemed dark and claustrophobic and the long walk to the room was almost depressing. The room seemed pretty dated, but it was immaculately clean. The super king size bed was super comfortable, and despite being part of a busy pub/restaurant in was incredibly quiet. Bathroom was so clean it almost sparkled! The breakfast was made to order and really tasty. The walk into town was easy and leads through the park which is beautiful. Would happily stay again if in the area "

"Generally the standard of hygiene could be improved dramatically , just very dusty and dirty in certain areas. They just need to hoover the carpet more. We had a blocked sink and the water wasn’t very warm despite setting to maximum. I understand other guests had similar issues. Positives were - very friendly staff, comfy bed and oreo snacks were nice"
