"I booked this apartment because the description said it was within walking distance of Sandwich town centre, and the map that was displayed prior to booking indicated it was located off Moat Sole in Sandwich town centre. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very good room and breakfast- only one downside, coffee wasnt the best but everything else was excellent and we would stay there again"

"The hotel has basic furniture, no wardrobes or drawers for putting personal items out of view. The wash basin sink took ages to empty. The kettle had no filter so would take longer to switch off. Breakfast food was always slightly overcooked, especially bacon and sausages. Apart from these niggles it was clean, comfortable bed (very large) changed regularly. The staff very friendly and helpful. Be aware, it only accepts card payments, No cash. Nearby there is an Asda express, a mcdonlds and a pub doing evening meals. Would use it again."

"Very pleasant stay. Room clean and comfortable. Despite no air conditioning fans provided were adequate. Location just above the beach. Breakfast good. Bar welcoming. Food was fine but menu not changed during our 5 night stay. Staff all very helpful. Would recommend Botany Bay as a good base to explore Thanet and Canterbury."

"We stayed 1 night before our cruise. The hotel was quiet & very clean. The breakfast was excellent - great variety. Being American, I needed help with the coffee machine since it was different from what I was used to. A server was very friendly and quick to help. Our 2 teenage grandsons (picky eaters), were able to find enjoyable foods and were filled up! Love the beans at breakfast! Florida Family"
