Spend an evening in the library with a nice drink and you won't want leave. The staff is excellent throughout the property.

Hundreds of years after the second wealthiest man in Britain stops building thorrnbury castle because he gets beheaded by Henry 8th for gossiping about him there we were, in the sumptuous luxurious hotel, with the Michelin key, eating top notch scoff in the restaurant with 3 AA rosettes looking forward to a night in the tower.

Stayed in King Henry VIII room and was nearly perfect. The bed size was a full or twin so take note. Other than that food and drinks were great as well

It was all great. The bed was a bit lumpy. In the morning I felt I was sleeping in a hollow as did my husband and we aren’t big people. Great location excellent staff.

The castle was beyond any expectations we had! The food was beyond wonderful! We had a six course meal in the dining room. We were blown away by the cleanliness, the attentiveness of the staff, the property itself! Everything was just wonderful! We are actually hoping to go again soon!

Wonderful venue

Amazing venue, steeped in history. Our room was beautiful and of a very high standard. The taster menu was exquisite. All staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

It is not often that a hotel becomes the highlight of your vacation. THORNBUrY IS THE EXCEPTION TO THAT RULE! We felt to transported to hundreds of years in the past in terms of the architecture and the style of interior furnishings. At the same time, it had all of the service amenities, quality of fixtures and furnishings, food anf service that is expected of a five star hotel. Well worth the price of our stay, we so wish to return.

Absolutely stunning historic castle, feels like you are in another time but with luxurious modern amenities. Also the breakfast is fantastic. So glad we decided to stay here, a once in a lifetime experience.
