The Space:
Welcome to 'The Sanctuary on William', suburban living with an eight-acre nature reserve as your backyard bonus.
This private three-bedroom retreat sits at the rear of the home and backs directly onto protected koala habitat. You’ll have your own entrance, living areas, kitchen, bathroom, deck and backyard.
'William’s on William' is the separate front unit and is also available as its own listing. The two units are completely self-contained, with no shared indoor spaces and private outdoor entertainment areas. For larger groups, the entire home can be opened up on request, providing five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens and two separate living/entertainment areas.
Inside, there’s room for up to seven guests, with two queen bedrooms, one double bedroom (with single mattress that can be made up on request), a full kitchen/dining, lounge with smart 65 inch TV, two toilets, laundry facilities and a huge back deck that may quickly become everyone’s favourite place.

Covered Back Deck
This is where the home earns its nature-retreat credentials.
The expansive covered deck overlooks the garden and reserve, with an outdoor dining table for eight, breakfast table for six and a lounge setting with a three-seater sofa and two armchairs.
Start the day with coffee and birdsong, settle in with a book or fire up the BBQ while the kids stretch their legs on the lawn.
Backyard and Nature Reserve
Open the back gate and step directly into eight acres of protected parkland and koala habitat.
The reserve offers open green space, children’s play areas and a designated dog exercise area. Keep an eye out for native birds and local wildlife, including the occasional koala quietly judging everyone from above.
Firepit
When local conditions allow, gather around the firepit for an evening beneath the stars.
Guests must follow all local fire restrictions and the instructions provided at the property.
Herb and Vegetable Garden
Guests are welcome to pick fresh herbs and any seasonal produce ready during their stay.
Dinner tastes especially satisfying when part of it was collected from the garden five minutes earlier.
Guest Access:
Access is via a keypad at the front door. The code will be provided with check in details.
The Neighborhood:
Alexandra Hills is one of those leafy Redlands suburbs where you can have parks, playgrounds, bushland and actual breathing room, without disappearing into the middle of nowhere.
Nearby train stations connect you directly with Brisbane City, the Ekka and beyond. Better still, most Translink bus, train and ferry trips cost just 50 cents. Yes, 50 cents. You can barely buy a freckle for that anymore.
Cyclists are particularly spoilt. An extensive network of dedicated paths means you can explore much of the Redlands without spending your ride dodging traffic. Ask us for a cycling map and go pedal somewhere lovely.
You’ll also find:
• Children’s playgrounds and leafy parks nearby
• Local gyms offering casual or single-entry visits
• Cleveland Aquatic Centre, with heated indoor and outdoor pools
• Sleeman Sports Complex, home to Olympic-standard and heated swimming pools
• Easy access to shopping, cafés, Brisbane City and the bay
The Redlands is also set to become home to the Olympic-standard Redland Whitewater Centre for the Brisbane 2032 Games. So yes, this peaceful little corner of the world is quietly preparing to make quite a splash.
Getting Around:
A car is the easiest way to get around, with shopping, cafés, parks and the bay all within a short drive.
Both Cleveland and Ormiston train stations are around five minutes away, with direct services to Brisbane City and the Ekka. Most Translink bus, train and ferry trips cost just 50 cents, making public transport a very easy option too.
Cyclists are also well catered for, with an extensive network of dedicated paths throughout the Redlands. Ask us for a cycling map and head off without having to spend your ride negotiating traffic.
Interaction with Guests:
We like to give our guests privacy and space to relax, but we’re always available if you need us. You can easily reach us through the booking app, by phone, or email, and we’ll respond promptly to any questions or requests.
