Booked specifically because it said they have a pool. Still says there is a pool. No pool at the motel! Wifi didn’t work most of the time Room was great and clean. Bed not comfortable.

Great place to stay

Check-in was super easy and staff member was friendly. Room was very small, but clean and tidy. Looked like it was renovated recently. Just a small issue... the bathroom door did not shut so we had to prop the luggage rack against the door when bathroom was in use for privacy. Would be easy to fix though. We were only staying the one night so it didn't bother us too much. Also, just a suggestion... it would have been more convenient to have had bedside lamps or something similar. Having to switch off the lights at the door then make our way back to the beds in total darkness could be a bit of a safety issue. There was some construction work happening at the front of the property and our host informed us that they were installing a mini golf course. This will be a great addition to the Bright Motor Inn.

The property was really close to everything and walking distance to cafes and bars. The room was basic but ok, with a fridge and microwave. Parking right in front of the unit was great, and there is a bbq on site. I booked a modern twin room, but ended up with 1 queen bed instead. If this was a modern room, I would hate to see what the economy room was like as it was small and needed a little bit of maintenance. The blinds didn't shut properly so had to be pulled closed by hand. The wall heater didn't work at all and the reverse cycle heating was very temperamental. On the last night we couldn't get it to heat at all, meaning it was bitterly cold in the room. Thank god the electric blankets worked. There is no sound proofing, meaning that the outdoor party by the people next door sounded like they were in the room with us. If visiting Bright again I would probably look for other properties first before staying here again.

Great Vacation Option for Every Season

Average three star motel in a beautiful location. Interior starting to look worn, but upkeep is in order. Ask for a room at the rear, overlooking the Ovens river park. Plenty of free parking. Self catering facilities including mini-fridge, microwave and cutlery. Walk-able to everything in Bright. Autumn is a great time to visit as the region puts on a color display to rival any northern hemisphere season change. It is not a location for the hip and happening clientele, as bars and nightlife are limited. Located at the base of the snow-line, this may change as the ski-season develops close-by. There are many wineries in the region. Beds comfortable, great pillows, heating / cooling effective.

This pristine property is steps away from the river walk and all the amenities of town. I arrived at 6pm and was able to check-in, grab some groceries and stroll to the fab local cinema to watch the 7pm movie with a glass of bubbles in my hand! The motel has everything you could need including really decent sized bar fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery crockery, excellent quality toiletries, really effective heating. Everything is in too condition, spotless and up-to-date. I feel as if I’ve found a gem. Keen to stay in the Centenary Lodges as well, which look beautiful with river frontage. Can’t wait to come back!!
