The cottage was ok very basic but it was ok not sur I would like to stay a whole week there though, it was very quiet and out the way which is what was needed at this time
Well located as a base for exploring this area. Plenty of space, all the facilities you need, nice open view from the garden.
I'd be happy to come back here again.
We got a warm welcome from Adrian to this very comfortable cottage. It is a great location to explore West Dorset from, and the view over the valley is beautiful
Exactly as advertised. A quiet, secluded property fully equipped and very comfortable. Very friendly owner and an ideal setting. Excellent nearby pubs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Buckingham Cottage . It was lovely and clean and everything had been thought off to make it a real home from home. A dog friendly garden and lovely views from the garden. We enjoyed saying hello to the horses in the field at the end off the garden each day.The area was ideal to visit many different places. We would definitely recommend Buckingham Cottage and hope to stay again someday.
The cottage was perfect - rural, peaceful and quiet, and great for star gazing too. Near enough to Bridport (with a car) for essentials and a good base for exploring the Dorset coast. Altogether a lovely escape.
Had a wonderful few days in the 4 bed cottage. Had everything we needed. Beautiful views, comfy beds, well appointed, warm, cosy and peaceful!
Lovely place to explore Dorset from. Would very much like to return!
This trip was the second time my partner and I have stayed at Buckingham Cottage, along with our dog.The property itself is perfectly sized and has everything you could need. The enclosed garden looking out over the hills is perfect for our pup. We did trips to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Lyme Regis, Hive beach and West day - so you couldn't ask for a better location. Will definitely be staying again!
We recently stayed at Buckingham cottage as a small family, and we thoroughly enjoyed our few days there! The cottage was a good size for the 3 of us and our small dog, and it was equipped with everything we needed. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Adrian was the perfect host - there to help if needed, whilst still fully respecting our privacy. We would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet break!
Booked the property for my birthday weekend, the location is picturesque and peaceful. Adrian was very welcoming and friendly, as well as his daughter. The property has everything you could ask for, and the garden was perfect for the pups to run about in. Would definitely recommend and will probably return in the future.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage for a comfortable weekend with friends. It was warm and cosy and perfect for our friends who bought their dog with the secure garden. It's such a lovely spot, we only wish we could have stayed longer! Beds were comfy and the smart TV was great. There was a bit of an issue with the shower not working very well but I raised this with the host when we left so will hopefully be sorted for the next guests. The hosts were also very happy to lend us a hammer for some fossil hunting at Charmouth, which we can highly recommend We hope to be back again one day, thanks for a lovely stay!
Property as excellent - very clean, spacious and good sized rear garden plus beautiful views of surrounding countryside.
Only one negative - the bathroom shower - was very average and not easy to adjust for anyone under 5 feet two.
Everything else was spot-on.

This was a lovely little cottage. Very comfortable and the owners were great. It was in the middle
of no where and was so peaceful, made perfect with the beautiful horses in the field at the bottom
of the garden who always came over to see us all and put dog. The kids could wander and often went trekking in the fields searching for the different wildlife. Will certainly be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this very peaceful cottage. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well in the quiet countryside.
The owner's daughter introduced herself and asked us to contact her if we had any problems or questions. We had good communication with owner.
Overall a perfect place to stay if you wish a quiet rural cottage but also a short drive from the coast.
Lovely spacious accommodation with everything you’ll need to self cater. Extremely peaceful and no light pollution other than the twinkle coming from the village down in the valley. All important areas were clean, French doors were covered in fingerprints from previous occupants, which was a shame. Only gripe was the shower needs replacing, the pressure is awful and the temperature was all over the place (no other taps were running at the same time), but it has a very decent bath and plenty of hot water. We loved our stay here and really enjoyed walking down the beautiful country roads.
