"Upmarket appearance motel. On maindrag. Easy to find. Disappointing restaurant wasn't open or other eating places nearby (except for Macs) as travelled for two days and was looking forward to a nice dinner. Friendly welcome"

"Clean, quiet and convenient. All the things we needed for a one-night stay during the drive from Cairns to Brisbane. The bed was firm, the sheets crisp cotton, the pillows plump. The bathroom was circa-1974, but why update quality?!? Ample hot water, good water pressure, generous amenities. The car, which was loaded with valuables for the move, was parked right outside the room so good for security. "
