This accommodation is built on a property that is part of the history of Old Bowral which goes back to around 1890's. It was once owned by the local Saddler, William Oldridge. The original cottage has been incorporated into the new residence, which is separate to Studio Rouge. The accommodation is recently built . It is a fully equipped apartment consisting of one bedroom with a queen bed, separate bathroom, dining, living, kitchen and laundry area. The kitchen utensils can be found in the kitchen drawers and large wooden kitchen cupboard. The living space faces north and all windows are double glazed. If you want to eat in there is an electric stove and a microwave at your disposal.
This accommodation is suitable for a couple or a single person without children or pets. It offers a minimum of two nights accommodation and is situated in the heart of Old Bowral, in a very quiet location. It is a 10 minute walk to the main street of Bowral where you will find many restaurants, cafes and shops to suit all.
It is located on private property and is separate to the owners home, which is on the same site and is a smoke free zone.
There is secure off street parking suitable for one vehicle, but not under cover. There are two steps into the accommodation.

We had a great week here. It's a good location for exploring the area, the studio was clean and well-equipped and we found Johnny to be very friendly and helpful in advising about places to visit. We had a small issue which he quickly resolved, then he checked that all was well the following day. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Studio Rouge pleasantly provided roominess, comfort and everything one could wish for in booked accommodation. It was as if the owners had just popped out and let us occupy their own new home for a few days. Spotlessly clean, excellent facilities and a lovely environment - a perfect place for a short holiday in the Bowral / Mittagong area.

An amazing place to stay

I have stayed in a lot of places in the highlands over many years and I can certainly say this has been the best. The location is perfect, so close the the Main Street and very private. A stones throw, literally, to the Cherry Tree Walk which is a must do. The cottage has everything you need and is so relaxing after a busy day. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location, the accommodation was very roomie, you had everything you could need plus more! the bed was very comfy, and the shower had great pressure and the water was lovely and hot. I could happily live there it was so enjoyable. And the hosts were just wonderful.

A very pleasant stay in a very quiet location.The accommodation is far nicer than the on-line photos show. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a shelf of books to read and DVD'S to watch, along with TV. Large windows allow the north sun to shine in. Many heaters are provided but very little heating is required to make the rooms warm and cosy due to the thermal efficiency of the building. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by plus 2 supermarkets. 10 minutes travel time to Burradoo and Berrima.

Clean room and comfortable bed in a quiet location with a communal feel. Most amenities were kindly provided, though some basic toiletries were missing (shampoo/conditioner).Unfortunately the WiFi didn't work for us, the signal comes from another building and we couldn't access the internet even when connected.While the listing mentions the owners live on-site, all windows face directly toward their house, which affected our sense of privacy more than anticipated. The hosts themselves were respectful however, and were only seen during check-in/out.I disclosed a disability before arrival (a sleep disorder that affects my ability to wake at specific times). The host offered one additional checkout hour, though I would have appreciated greater flexibility given the circumstances. Guests with similar accessibility needs may want to confirm arrangements before booking.Thank you for letting us stay at your place, we both appreciated it.

Well equipped and spotless studio with welcoming light breakfast provisions included. Bed very comfortable. Driveway is narrow and a little hard to find as unmarked. Internet a tad patchy and the bedroom could be more restful with a blockout blind. On the whole, however, a delightful stay and would definitely return.
