The property frontage does not look attractive at first. However once you enter it the staff and rooms inside assure your stay is comfortable.

Not particuilarly good
Our stay coincided with some very warm weather. The room got really hot but there was no aircon. We asked for a fan - they have one between 18 rooms - but were asked asked to give it up shortly after for someone with asthma. The windows were double glazed but we had to keep them open to stay cool, so the room was noisy. Reception wasn't open when we arrived around 4.00pm. They had sent an email explaining this but we were aleady travelling when it arrived. Breakfast ok but virtually no other facilities.

sir we sent you an email with the arrival times, the sunday is 17h and therefore there is nobody at 16h., email to which you did not answer! The heat was bearable but we still lent you a cool column, apparently not enough in your eyes! It is specified in the card of our establishment that there is no air conditioning! Still must read them what does not seem to be your case .. Cordially

Perfect to explore Boulogne with a family.
We stayed one night, the location of the hotel is excellent to explore Boulogne. The old walked town is lovely and equidistant from the port which is also worth a look. The parking for the hotel was free (although not sure why we stayed 17 hours!) in an underground public carpark, just round the corner. Breakfast was offered in the hotel but we didn't use this facility. I would recommend this hotel for a stopover for both cleanliness and location.

Great spot right near town
Nothing fancy but clean and excellent friendly staff, we came to get away from the manic crush of London leading up to Xmas and had a lovely peaceful 2days food was excellent hotel was a walk to everything.

nice hotel in town
Nice staff. Clean hotel. We were on second floor there isn't a lift and the breakfast isn't anything to shout home about. But well worth the money and had everything I needed. Had two kids so carrying them upstairs was taxing but a good workout for the legs

Beautiful Boulogne
Perfect location for a short stay. Close to all the city sights, shopping and the beach. Adequate breakfast and knowledgeable and thoughtful staff who, although they all spoke English, helped us practice our limited French.

I only stayed one night for a friend's wedding. Arrived just after reception closed at 12, which we weren't aware of. Luckily, we knocked and the receptionist let us in and checked us in so we could shower and dress for the wedding! Very thankful for his kindness. Hotel was old, but well maintained and clean.

Don't bother.
We arrived at the hotel at 3 o-clock in the afternoon. It was locked up until 5 o-clock, there was nowhere secure to park, the area was very seedy and run down and the hotel itself is of bland concrete construction. Spending the night in the car in a safer area seemed a preferable option so we did not use this hotel, even though we'd already paid for the privilege.

Hello, we are sorry that you haven't a good stay in our town. The hour for the check-in on Sunday is 17pm, it's write on booking confirmation, if the customer arrive before or after we can give him the acces code by email or by phone ! You haven't ask anything. Near the hotel you have secure carpark (400 places at 3 minutes by foot).

Perfect location for train, friendly staff
This was a very nice hotel for the price. The building has a great interior and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to use their printer for bus tickets and they called a taxi for us. The location is perfect for using the train.

Nice Hotel
This is a handy little place to stop off if your traveling further into France. The room was good and the hotel is close to a few nice bars and restaurants. For the price of stay this is a good hotel. Parking could be a problem as it is pay meters on the street!

Bargain...
Nice basic room. It was clean, the staff were helpful and it was handy for the water front. Not the best hotel we have stopped in but far from the worse. For the money we would stop here again.

Well price hotel in middle of the town
Nice place to stay in the middle of the town. There is parking although we found it trick to find. Other than that, friendly staff and a simple clean room with good a good shower.

AN EXPENSIVE MISTAKE
We reviewed the hotel on line before booking our one night stop over. the photos and description looked and sounded good. What a mistake. When we arrived the place looked tired and shabby. Our room consisted of a double bed, a kitchen table and 2 mismatched wooden kitchen chairs. the on suite bathroom was ok. The carpet had seen better days but the room was reasonably clean. Our first impression was that it was the sort of hotel that the social services would use in the uk to temporarily house homeless people. At seventy pounds per night we were very disapointed

Booked over internet pleasantly surprised. Parking has to be paid for in multi storey over the road but it was only just over 5euros for overnight. Owners spoke English very welcoming excellent breakfast. Will go back again.

Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly for our stay as we had some demanding storage requirements. The Hotel is kept clean and tidy and met all our needs despite it's relatively small size. I thoroughly recommend anyone considering staying in Boulogne to stay at Hotel Alexandra.

Great stopover hotel
Basic but very central location in a nice port town- good restaurants on the church square a short walk away. we stayed with our 2 kids in family room- just what we needed, no nonsense but clean and very friendly. Nice breakfast. Good value for money.

Great location, hotel could do with a revamp, but you get what you pay for...Staff very friendly and make you feel very welcome.I have used hotel before and would again. Great breakfast, the chocolate torte thing is fantastic.

Cheap and cheerful value for money
Hotel Alexandra is very reasonable, clean and comfortable. We had a quadruple room for 90 euros which was less than we paid elsewhere for hotels which weren't as nice, with staff who weren't particularly helpful. There isn't a lift so awkward with heavy bags. I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Boulogne.

Excellent overnight accommodation in Bologne
Really convenient location near shops, port, bars and a short walk up hill to fortified old town. Good value for family room sleeping 4 at about 90 Euros total. We enjoyed breakfast at cafe and patisserie adjacent to hotel. Parking via metre on road for 4 Euros for four hours.

Petit hôtel local, propre, personnel sympathique. Bien placé quand on est à pied (proche centre ville, proche Naussica et proche plage) et place de parking tout à côté. Il est également calme que ce soit, les voisins ou les bruit extérieur. Déjà ma 2eme fois et sûrement pas la dernière.
