"Overall a beautiful place to stay but there are a few issues that keep this from being a great hotel. Mainly the mattress (which is cheap and very uncomfortable) and the shower, which is barely there and does not even give enough water pressure to wash your hair. It just could have been such a fabulous place to stay."

"Air conditioning was alright sometimes it would turn off but if you turned it to another setting then back on it was fine."

"The room was clean. The room was totally worn out. Needs a complete refreshing. Paint was peeling. Around the bathtub there was black in the caulking. Tub was very slippery. Had to put a towel down to keep from falling. The refrigerator was noisy. Everything was very old looking. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Muffins were tiny. There were only three pillows on the bed when we got there. Two guests and three pillows? We called down for an extra pillow and the clerk said that housekeeping was gone for the day so we couldn't get one until tomorrow. A maintenance man came around tomorrow and we told him about it and he said that we could have had an extra pillow that night. He gave us one. not a very good experience."

"The first room the AC was broken. After an hour, we were given a new room. That room at dark had a bug infestation outside from the lighting. Because the bottom of the door to the room had a large gap at the bottom the bugs (over 75) were on the ceiling, floors and in our personal items. The owner refused to do anything about it and stated that this is normal for the Culpepper area. I've stayed in Culpepper before and NO this is not usual."
