Heron Island is amazing destination but the property is starting to look tired. It is very expensive to eat, 1 restaurant (breakfast, lunch&dinner)& 1 bar, opens at 10am with limited food if fridge works!!. Same breakfast everyday is $35pp. Cafe style coffee for 2 $15, didn't have lunch. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks and 1 dessert around $100.
Diving and snorkelling was great. 1 dive $150pp & $50 for snorkelling from a boat.
Free at high tide unless you hire snorkelling equipment.
Dive & snorkelling shop is very well organised and equipped.
The corals are slowly recovering from bleaching event in 2024 but sealife is outstanding.
Staff are very helpful and friendly.

"The room was spacious, the king bed comfortable with good pillows. The bathroom was large with ample hot water & larger shower cubicle. There was ample room for luggage & the spa on the outside verandsh discreet & quiet. We had our own courtyard which was good as we left the curtains open all night. ..."
