The best location for being in old Bordeaux. Super walkable, but also, at the junction of 3 tram lines! The only drawback is that the noise continues late into the night.

Ideally situated, quiet, and longstanding hotel. For a first visit to Bordeaux, We chose this hotel for what we thought would be a central location—absolutely so! And the tourist office is across the street. We also chose it because it’s been run by the same family for years, so non cookie-cutter. Great choice! Very professional staff—welcoming and helpful. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and the 1925 was first-rate. Rooms are cared for, quiet, and fully-equipped. The breakfast was copious and varied. We are a retired couple who travel regularly. This hotel was an excellent choice and value.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of parks, shops, restaurants, the tram and the river. The room was comfortable and clean and we even had a view over the city rooftops. The concierge was friendly and helpful. Bordeaux is a wonderful, fun city and Hotel de Normandie is an ideal base for exploring the area

Great location and very nice room with balcony overlooking square. Very friendly and helpful staff on reception. Only downside was noise and vibration caused by underground metro trains late at night and early morning but overall a very pleasant stay.

A good choice to get around Bordeaux center

I’m glad I chose this hotel, which is conveniently located right next to the Quinconces station, making it very easy to get around. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and a Carrefour market is just a short walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful, which made my stay very pleasant. The breakfast is generous and includes French specialties such as pain au chocolat, canelés, macarons, and crêpes, along with excellent coffee. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the room and facilities. This hotel offers great value for money and fully merits the positive reviews it receives.

Hôtel Normandie was a great hotel! It offered comfortable accommodations with warm and helpful staff. The best part: its location. Not only is it across the street from a tram station/hub and the tourism office, it’s in the heart of the liveliest part of town. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again without hesitation!
