Loved our stay at the beautiful Haut Bailly bed and breakfast. Instructions to get there and into our room was clear and easy. The service was wonderful with our host helping us get a taxi and assistance with logistics. The bike ride to the nearby wineries was wonderful. It’s very quiet and we were the only guests (kind of spooky on Halloween) but we loved it and would highly recommend it as a romantic stay in Bordeaux.

Stunning property. A little warning to travellers: there is Nothing to do there and no where to eat nearby except for Caudalie, which was booked out every night and day. So unless you are happy to travel every night around 30 minutes, prepare yourself for dining on sandwiches. Other than that the property is lovely

Os funcionários são excelentes e dedicados. No entanto, na minha última noite, uma mulher idosa americana, que provavelmente é a proprietária do local, foi extremamente rude com minha esposa, quando ela estava escrevendo uma mensagem no livro de recados parabenizando pela hospedagem. Foi de uma extrema má educação, mandando minha esposa apagar as luzes e fechar a porta, como se minha esposa fosse uma serviçal e ela uma aristocrata. Ou seja, a arrogância dessa senhora estragou toda a experiência.

Séjour courte durée d’une nuit dans cette belle maison de maître, lumineuse au milieu des vignes. Cents beau c’est blanc, c’est chaleureux. Le gérant est adorable et discret. Le petit déjeuner magnifique. Bref si je reviens dans les parages, ce sera là !

Magnifique château dans le vignoble

Magnifique petit château dans le vignoble. Excellent accueil, personnel très sympathique. Petit déjeuner très copieux. Pas de restaurant. Il faut donc trouver des solutions pour le déjeuner et le diner dans la région. Je recommande sans hésitation.

Quiet, peaceful, clean and beautifully restored chateau. A lot of character with a well supplied library of fashion, architecture and literature. Excellent staff there to make it feel private but also provide service when needed.

An absolutely beautiful Château

We stayed at Château Le Pape for three nights in August. The Château and it’s grounds are absolutely beautiful and staff are very helpful. We lazed by the beautiful pool and took full advantage of the bikes riding to wineries and into town to do some shopping (the chocolate shop in Léognan is a must visit!). Taxi’s can be hard to get so a hiring a car is reccomended.
