"Good location, in the middle of tourist area, quite clean, friendly staff, breakfast was OK, but not great, AC system old and noisy."

"We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Caribe in Merida, Mexico. Location is very convenient to the cathedral, the central square, and all the downtown areas.The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfasts and swimming in the rooftop pool. The property is an old catholic high school converted into a hotel years ago. The courtyard is very pretty with two Mamey fruit trees and a fountain. The rooms could use some freshening (paint) and cleaning especially the tile headboard area behind the beds. "

"All the staff were very helpful. Room was confortale, and swimming in the outdoor roof top pool on my 65th birthday was sublime. "

"The pool was beautiful but not heated so we couldn’t swim in it. There are lots of chairs to sun bathe in. We were able to safely walk to many markets, plazas and restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. "

"The location was great, right on the Paseo. The hotel was generally clean. We were given a wheelchair accessible bathroom, which we had requested, and that was helpful. Unfortunately, the water never got hot and the shower flooded the bathroom. The cafe downstairs did have excellent croissants, though. "
