"We had a good time in the cabin but there were a few hiccups. After a few attempts to reach the host we had to call while standing at the door to get the code. Some attempts failed due to no answer from them but mostly due to horrible service in the mountains, which they can’t control that part. Be sure to have the code before getting in the mountains. Once we were finally in, the house smelled like smoke, one bedroom upstairs particularly smelled of cigarette smoke it definitely was not from the fireplace. After finding ashtrays in the house it confirmed this is not a non smoking house. I’m not saying it was advertised as a non smoking house, I just now know I need to ask before we book again. The house was clean and the layout is great. The kitchen could be a little better stocked for kitchen gadgets like a full set of measuring cups and maybe a blender. The oven was not in the best working order it took forever to heat them. I was pretty sure somewhere I read there were games in the house so we did not bring any and there was only 1 monopoly game and a puzzle. I don’t say this as a complaint more just as a heads up so the next guests know what to bring. Also, it was listed that there was a whirlpool/hot tub. We did not see one. All in all the trip was good. The cabin is in a great location and we were able to go to several places. The tubing at Jonas Ridge was so close and convenient which was the main reason for our entire trip. Thank you, we would book again."
