"It was often difficult in the kitchen to use the appliances. Some plugged in. Some worked and some did not. Floors felt gritty if you walked around barefoot. Tv screen was smeared and dead bugs stuck on it. Temperature settings were perfect. Bedrooms and bathrooms very clean. Blankets in living room needed to be washed, smelled musty. "

"We had a great stay at Mamaw's Cabin! The place was perfect for our party of 3 and our dog and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a great way to finish the day after spending hours hiking the amazing scenery of the area, in particular the trails around the Linville Gorge. Another BIG bonus was being just 2 minutes away from Linville Falls Winery. Cell phone signal is non-existent around the cabin so make sure to plan your routes ahead of time while connected to their Wi-Fi. We'd definitely be coming back!"

"I love the location which is close to relatives, Linville Falls, the winery, and its halfway between Spruce Pine and Newland. Linville and Banner Elk are a short drive. I love the cabin being on the river. I needed to prepare food for a family reunion and the kitchen is a good size. If you plan on doing a lot of food prep, be safe and bring casserole dishes and mixing bowls."
