A quiet place right by the river Blanda

My place is close to Overlooking River Blanda in Blonduos village, these cottages are located right by Iceland’s Ring Road. All include private kitchen facilities, a sofa and a furnished terrace.

Most cottages at at Gladheimar have a private bathroom and a terrace with a geothermal hot tub and BBQ facilities. Some cottages include a private sauna. A public swimming pool is found 500 m away.

Open all year round. Accommodation in 20 well equipped cottages for altogether 110 people. Hotpots and sauna in most of the cottages. Close to all services. Accommodation in 3-8 person cottages for one or more nights is a good and inexpensive choice. Stay in a beautiful summer cottage and enjoy yourselves.

We are located right in the center at Blonduos next to the route 1. Close to all service.

Leider wurden uns die Zugangsdaten nicht mitgeteilt, auch meine 2 Mails wurden nicht beantwortet. Empfang war nicht besetzt,auf meinen Anruf hin kam ein Mitarbeiter vorbei und teilte mit, dass ein Zahlungseingang nicht verbucht sei und daher keine Reservierung vorliegt. Da ich die Bezahlung nachweisen konnte, war der Mitarbeiter anschließend bemüht uns eine Übernachtungsmoeglichkeit anzubieten. Wir erhielten nicht die gebuchte Unterkunft, der Ersatz entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen, für eine Nacht haben wir uns aber darauf eingelassen. Die Unterkunft war sehr einfach, die Duschabtrennung defekt. Positiv war der Einsatz des Mitarbeiters, der sich sehr bemüht hat, nachdem klar war, das die Fewo schon lange bezahlt war

This was a disaster and a scam!

I arrived and the property manager said they had no accomodation for me that they were not booking thru VRBO. I booked the property thru VRBO for the 3 night stay but neither VRBO or the property owner has refunded my credit card which was charged. It seems like a scam and neither entity is taking responsibility. BEWARE when booking on VRBO. I have been online and on the phone with them 3 times. VRBO did not find another place for us as their policy states, they did not refund the charges and they did not solve the problem. BEWARE BOOKING WITH VRBO.

This is a lovely stop with a rustic feel. It is our second time staying here. The manager is a very nice guy, but he seems overwhelmed. Upon arrival we didn't know where to check in and there was no one at the desk. It would have been really helpful to receive this information in an email, prior to arrival. There is no wifi in the cabins, and the instructions on the cabins ask you to basically clean the whole thing, not just clean up after yourself, which we found surprising. There was a hot tub on the deck which my teenage sons loved. (We knew how to operate it from our previous stay, but no directions are posted otherwise.) We were a party of 6, and one member had to sleep on the couch (not a pull out). Had we known that, we probably would have looked elsewhere.
