Hotel Salona Palace

10/10 Excellent

"We had a lovely three-night stay at Salona Palace Hotel and would definitely recommend it. It’s a very nice four-star hotel with good facilities, including a spa with a sauna. The outdoor pool is much larger than the indoor pool, although both were quite cold – not really an issue when it’s hot outside. We stayed in a family room overlooking the pool, which was spacious and comfortable. The only downside was the glazed window between the bathroom and bedroom, which let both light and silhouettes into the main sleeping area. The hotel’s location in Solin worked well for us. Bus number 1 stops right outside and takes around 25–30 minutes to reach Split city centre. Ubers were also readily available and often cost around the same as the bus, only a little more during busier periods. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice to start the day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return."

"The hotel was lovely, the room was big enough but the barroom looked a bit tired ( maybe it was the choice of colour). Good amenities, we loved the proximity to the beach and the fact that there was shade when you needed a respite from the scorching sun. We tried most of the restaurants and they were good and the breakfast choice was very diverse."

"Excellent resort. Central. Warm helpful funny staf, all over. In the bar, lobby. Wonderfully behaved Croatian children and families , all So friendly in the atmosphere, and a local holiday feel. Food was exceptional. I’ve never had a buffet experience. We went as a group of ten from Ireland, Scotland and Canada. No request too big or too small for staff (asked for candles and gluten free cake For sisters birthday), band even came Over and sang a chorus of happy birthday and dinner And the entire restaurant at dinner joined in!!"

"A spacious apartment, very nice hostess and helpful staff, steps from the beach with its own gate to the beach. Quiet area close to everything. The only downside is that it is right next to an emergency helicopter landing pad. During my stay, helicopters landed and took off about 2-4 times each day at different times."

"This was our third time staying at this resort because we’ve always enjoyed it. The room was very clean, and the housekeeping staff was excellent—very friendly, professional, and attentive. However, the bar experience was disappointing. The beach bar wasn’t open during our stay, which was a big disappointment. The main bar also had issues with its system being down, and the staff seemed confused most of the time. I asked about the status of my order, and the bartender simply looked at me, said they didn’t have my order, then turned away and ignored me. The order arrived about five minutes later, making the whole situation even more confusing. For a 5-star resort, I expected a much higher level of service. Hopefully, these issues will be improved because we’ve always enjoyed staying here."
