The hotel is far from the train station, taxis are difficult to get (especially in the evenings), and I ended up spending so much on taxis that I could have afforded a nicer hotel in Taormina or Ortigia. That’s where the good stuff pretty much ends, the restaurant staff were rather friendly and helpful as was the gent on reception but the hotel is tired and it’s covered up with odd decoration. The rooms are so poorly sound proofed, if you are even close to a light sleeper, you’re not going to enjoy your stay.
