  • Relax and enjoy beautiful mountain views and spectacular mountain sunrises from your bed or from the spacious back deck. Covered rocking chair front porch too! Escape the noise, traffic and humdrum of our 21st century rat race and enjoy the tranquility, peace and quiet of our secluded location in the gated Deer Run Estates in beautiful Western North Carolina. Stroll or hike through the beautiful hardwood forests and enjoy the wildlife that abounds, or relax and enjoy the seclusion and breathe the clean, fresh and crisp mountain air.

    We are only a short drive to Chimney Rock State Park and Lake Lure, which has been described by National Geographic as the most beautiful man made lake in the world. Golf courses, whitewater rafting, hiking trails, ziplining, riding stables and many more recreational venues are just a short drive away.

    If shopping and/or nightlife are of interest to you, we are located a mere 7 miles from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure,16 miles from historic Hendersonville,17 miles from the center of artistic Black Mountain and 23 miles from the city of Asheville.

    Our rental home has all this to offer but its' secluded mountain location and vistas make it truly unique!

It was absolutely beautiful. I wish we could have enjoyed the home for longer. Watching the sunset from the balcony was breathtaking, and we loved being able to use the fire pit when we got back from our hike and just relax. The host was very friendly, and very kind to provide pamphlets for sight seeing, and very organized and clear with checkin/check out instructions!

Perfect Short Stay

We had a couple of days before we had to be in Charlotte for a wedding and this was the perfect place to spend our time. It was beautiful and quaint, yet close enough to enjoy the city life. 10/10 would stay here again.

Absolutely lovely. Great night views, fire pit. The Fire TVs were great for streaming and the satellite internet had plenty of speed. We appreciated the snacks too - we saw that Poppy popcorn all over town and got to try it before we left.

Very peaceful and scenic getaway. Our family and 2 dogs were looking for some nature time and Erin's property was a great fit. Plenty of space and the kitchen was well appointed which is very appreciated. Would definitely consider this location again next time we're in the area.

Beautiful Cabin with plenty of Soace to Relax

My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 days and it was truly an amazing getaway. Safe, quiet, and BEAUTIFUL. The cabin came with all the essentials and was very clean and cozy. It’s about a 45-50min drive from Asheville so plan accordingly but it was perfect four our trip. Highly recommended.

Top of the mountain!

Beautiful views with a gorgeous open night sky! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so many stars. The drive is winding through an amazing mountain landscape, which leads to all the solitude you could ever want. Cute little cabin with all the needed amenities. Can’t wait to go back!

A beautiful cozy secluded cottage with spectacular mountain view.

The pictures on the listing are what drew us to this beautiful secluded cottage and we were not disappointed! We enjoyed the quiet seclusion and breathtaking views. We enjoyed a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway for more mountain views and stopped for good food at My Father's Pizza, (We ate there more than once). And we enjoyed a visit from a small black bear. We had a good view of her from our dining room window. We highly recommend the Morning Glory Cottage!

Amazing Stay....

Morning Glory has everything a family of 4 needs. Plenty of room, cooking utensils, coffee, and a comfortable clean home. The seclusion was much needed. Alot of time was spent on the back deck looking at the beautiful mountain view. Everything we wanted to do was 20 minutes away. Chimney Rock and Black Mtn. were fun places to visit. Straightaway Cafe is the place to go for good food/drinks. Highly recommend Morning Glory Cottage.

Very Enjoyable Experience

A lovely cottage in the mountains!

We enjoyed our stay at the well equipped, clean cottage. We loved having a washer and dryer in the house. We had no issues finding the place or getting up the mountain. We had a little issue and Erin sent someone the next day to handle it. The name Morning Glory is perfect since the morning views are incredible!

Quiet and remote. Just how I like it.

After seeing previous reviews, they made a great effort to correct the mentioned discrepancies. House was very clean and comfortable. Spent the majority of the time outdoors which was fantastic. A couple of things to be aware of: beds are on the small size for queens and there is a healthy growth of poison ivy around the property. If you have pup(s) that like to do a bit sniffing, it could transfer to you. Some may find the roads to it as intimidating and rough, I chose to enjoy the exhilarating ride and beauty of the area. Do watch out for the bears on Shumont.

The views were absolutely amazing. The Host responded quickly and was super helpful with everything. The house was fully stocked, it had everything I needed to cook Christmas dinner. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets. The yard is amazing and the back deck is where we pretty much stayed when we weren't eating or watching Christmas movies! I would recommend it and hopefully I will get to come back soon.

Beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay. The house was nice but could use some updating and needs a deep cleaning, particularly the blankets. Careful if you have allergies. My wife is good with pets after taking medication (we have a dog), but she could feel them flaring up when in the house.
