Very tied and run down in need of some TLC. Bathroom had a very poor running shower, with a constant running tap with black mould everywhere, toilet flush was terrible and took ages to refill. The mattress was well pasted it’s best with the springs showing through and lastly no hairdryer available
The room was nothing like the photos shown online. Rooms are outdated! Flooring, curtains and bedding were old and stained. Beds were not freshly laundered, curtains barely held up at the windows. Toilet was leaking and the room was really noise from the disco music below.
Receptionist was friendly enough. Hotel was very dated, shower/bed was clean but the carpets were very badly stained, a massive water mark on the ceiling that was all brown. Rooms definitely need updating.
Although an inexpensive stay I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The plus side was the staff were very helpful but the room was pretty awful. Old tatty curtains hanging off the rail. Very old furniture with bits missing. Mattress well past it's sell by date and bed covers due for a change too. The TV was about the newest item in the room but had to request a remote. Thank goodness it was only one night.

Stay. The
The staff were excellent, but unfortunately our doom did needs some TLC. There was blood stains on the sheet, the shower trickled , there was a lot of black mold in the shower. The radiator wasn’t very good, and we were cold.

Value for money. The lady on reception was excellent. Apart from room, we did not use the facilities. Okay, like some other reviews, yes there where stains on carpet, damage to door (a client must have booted it), plus a couple of other things. All electrical items had been PAT tested (safety check), so that was good to see. Plus when we were leaving, a maintenance man was waiting to do repairs. Perhaps some clients should be more respectful. The guests we saw, were a mix, nothing rowdy. We did not hear any noise. The room served it's purpose for us.
Thank you very much for everything, we had very pleasent stay at Beverly Hotel, everything was great.
Will definitely use the hotel in the future.
Thank you
On arrival tv failed to work which required me to go to the desk as the in house phone didn’t work!
Tv required complete retune which was done. The water was hot as my wife had just used it tried the shower which was faulty, thought I’d have a shave which was not too easy as the mirror light was Brocken!
Overall a poor experience, would I recommend the hotel - let me think - NO
Where to start - Advertised a king size bed, we got a small double. Mattresses were appalling. There was mould in the bathroom - nothing to stand on when exiting the shower on a lino floor, not good with a toddler. The furniture was almost falling apart - not safe in a family room! Carpet was dirty and stained
Poorly laid out for a family room - Dividing wall in the room should be mentioned, not great for our small toddler!
Complimentary toiletries were good.

Basic hotel for a quick stay
There's no airs and graces. It is what it says on the tin. The shower and the bed not the best...carpets need burning but the rooms are decent size
Checked in to a freezing cold room, told the staff he tried to mess around with the boiler for a while said to give it 2 hours so we waited. 2 hours had gone by and still I’m sat there with my coat on. I went back down to tell him and he told us to leave it with him and that he will be back. I’m waiting for over an hour and got fed up so I went down again. I went up to the manager and asked what’s going on, he told me there’s nothing he could do and the only option was to check out and get a refund. I was fuming at this point I had things planned and was now running late! I phoned around a few places and whilst on the phone trying to book another room, the manager came up to me and asked me if he could put the room back up to rent!! At this point I lost my rag and had to have a walk around outside to calm myself down. The cheek of it! Never staying there again!
Checked in and checked out within 5 minutes. The room was dirty, the bed looked as though it had already been slept in and the odour was unpleasent. I will awaite my credit card bill to see if i was refunded
In addition to above the first room I was given was dirty & had not been fully serviced (dirty, used crockery, dirty shower, half -I used shampoo bottle. The foyer smelled of cig. smoke!! After complaining was given a room as above.
Was just needing a local hotel to stop overnight, friendly staff check in and hotel clean and comfortable albeit a little dated decor wise and some of the information on website and in room folder out of date - ie website stated you get free bottled water in rooms which you dont and in room folder says dial 0 from your room but no phone in room and when I queried at reception got told coz most people have mobiles no longer have phones in room - yes thats fine but then update the sheet lol
It is clear this hotel is useful for anyone working on nearby building sites etc or as a knocking shop at weekends for anyone who traps off in town.
Can’t fault the staff but they are fighting a losing battle.
Tv not working in my room so after several attempts to fix I was moved into a single room even though I had booked a double, only one available with working tv.
Rooms feel a bit grubby with stains on carpets, marks and cracks on walls and signs of age in bathroom, stained around plugs, grubby silicon etc.
Would not recommend it or use it again

Friendly staff, fair price, but needs updating
Good location for an overnight stop with ample parking and an efficient restaurant. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was quiet and shower ensuite functional. The whole hotel though needs modernising and up dating. My room could have been cleaner overall; however the sheets and towels were fresh. Freeview TV worked, although it was small.
The staff were so lovely and helpful, really made us feel welcome. The room was fine, no major issues. The only issue we had was the people next door to us and above us. Extremely noisy. Not the hotels fault and they did try to move us to another room, but none were available. All in all it was fine, just wish guests would be more considerate!
The hotel is listed as 3* rated 3.5 out of 4 with 175 reviews! We had stayed in a 3* hotel recently with good reviews that was beautiful so we thought we had found another bargain gem! How wrong we were!!! The entrance wasn't too bad and the staff were friendly enough when we arrived. We stayed in a family room with a king size bed and twin beds. The carpet was filthy with stains all over it, i didn't feel comfortable taking my shoes off at all. the walls were all marked and dirty. There were huge cob webs in all corners and on the walls. the radiators and skirting boards had thick dust on them. The furniture was all chipped and marked. The decor was so old fashioned and falling apart. The remote didn't work for the TV either. we didn't have a drink all night and morning as we didn't trust the cleanliness of the kettle and cups. The bed linen was clean so we just decided to go straight to sleep and leave as soon as we woke up. Truly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
