"We were in town for a family wedding weekend and an unexpected funeral that meant we would need to extend our weekend plans. Instead of staying at the hotel with all of the wedding guests, we chose this quaint downtown cobblestone condo on Morris Avenue with a darling rooftop terrace and close to everything you could need. We couldn't have picked a better location and accommodations for our Thursday-Sunday stay. The condo was just right for the two of us and there was a fabulous pizza restaurant...

"This is a great place to stay if you are a traveling family! Staff was incredible. We enjoyed the breakfast, and kickback(Dinner). The Pool was super clean, and so was our room. Quite and nice. We enjoyed our stay a lot!"

"We chose this property for the price and its proximity to the UAB Children's Hospital. The property itself was clean and the staff was friendly for the most part. It's a little tight getting into front of the hotel for check in and odd having to drive down an alley to get to the parking lot behind the building. Parking was quite tight especially for guests driving longer vehicles like trucks. I'm not sure if there were enough parking spaces if the hotel was at capacity. I found out upon check-in, after paying for the room in advance when I made the reservation, that I then had to pay $25 just to park at the hotel. Where else would I want to park except the hotel I was staying at. The room (suite) was quite large and had pretty much everything anyone would need during a stay. The sofa, I assume a pull-out bed, was not comfortable but the beds were adequate. I stepped out briefly to grab a bite to eat for the family when a staff member knocked on our door claiming there was too much noise coming from our room and according to my wife and granddaughter was not pleasant. My 2yr old great-granddaughter was asleep and the TV wasn't on. My wife and granddaughter were on their phones waiting on me to return. That interaction was a turn-off."

"The bed in the suite felt like sleeping on concrete. The hotel could use some updating to the carpet, the walls looked poorly refinished. I chose the Renaissance Inn due to experiences with previous stays where the beds make you want to go back to sleep and just stay in room. I definitely won’t be booking this one on my next visit."

"The room itself was great and spacious. Bed was comfortable and shower had good water pressure. All the trash cans were overflowing throughout the hotel. There was a nice coffee and hot cocoa bar in the general dining. The most inconvenient was having to pay for parking in the parking lot by scanning a QR code and filling out a form. When you finally arrive somewhere after a long trip, the one thing you are trying to do is get to your bed. The last thing you want to do is be sitting in your car in the dark waiting for a form to load. A ticketed gate system would be much preferred if I have to pay for parking. Or just add it to my hotel tab."
