"We loved staying here right on the beach! Fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the ocean, crashing waves was wonderful. Restaurant on site was good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The fire pits at night were a welcomed end to the day. Very conveniently located near Hearst castle and start of south to north Big Sur attractions. Wonderful place! Excellent stay!"

"Understand this hotel was built in 1904. It probably could use some updates, but as a overall property, it is fantastic. You are close to absolutely everything in Monterey, including blocks away from the old fisherman’s wharf, plenty of conveniences, bars, restaurants, coffee, shops, close by that you really don’t have to go outside the area. The staff was incredibly helpful and met our every need when we asked. When I go back to Monterey, I will not stay anywhere else."

"The property was perfect, right on the beach. The restaurant across the street was excellent also and convenient. The lady at the front desk was very nice and very accommodating. It was my birthday she noticed on my license and gifted me a little collection of chocolates from a local chocolate shop located on the wharf. Perfect stay will definitely see you soon!"
