Romantic Cabin: Secluded Woods, Hot Tub, and Privacy in the Driftless Region.
10/10 Excellent
"My partner and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The cabin was extremely comfortable; we appreciated the heated floors, fireplaces, soft bedding, and well-stocked kitchen. We loved the hot tub, very easy to operate and only steps from the living room. The whole property was super quiet and we had a ton of privacy. During our stay, there was over 7" of snow that had us worried about being able to drive out, but thankfully the host was quick to respond and had the driveway plowed, and there was a shovel we were able to use as well. We were also comfortable just staying in the cabin the whole weekend, didn't feel the need to drive anywhere. Our only minor complaint was that there were a lot of ladybugs in the upstairs bedroom, not bothersome but we'd just notice them sitting on the floor. The hosts did leave a note that they were aware of this and that they regularly spray the unit for bugs, so not a ton that could be done there.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this cabin and would definitely come back."
Maplewood Cabin: Secluded Romance with Private Hot Tub while Star Gazing.
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great 3-night Valentine’s Day getaway at Maplewood Cabin. If you’re looking for a secluded, quiet, wooded retreat away from the noise of town, this is it. It’s just a few minutes outside the small town of Ferryville and feels completely private and peaceful. (Ferryville also includes a small convenience store, perfect for picking up a few essentials!)The cabin was clean, cozy, and well heated (which we appreciated in the winter). The private hot tub was definitely a highlight, soaking at night in total quiet was exactly what we needed. The WiFi worked perfectly, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook real meals, and check-in was simple and easy, even late at night after a long trip! The bed was comfortable, the electric fireplace added a nice touch, and the whole place was incredibly quiet which was perfect for unplugging from work and daily responsibilities. The deck would be great in warmer months as well!Customer service was excellent! Very responsive and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic cabin getaway with a private hot tub."
"The place was very nice! It has the modern but rustic feel to it. We didn't get a chance to enjoy some of the amenities like the outdoor fire pit or the hot tub. The location is ideal as it is located within about 30 minutes from plenty of restaurants and entertainment. Would stay here again."
"Loved the little cabin tucked up overlooking the Mississippi! We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed all weekend reading and watching movies! Perfect relaxing getaway. The train came by often but was not bad at allwe kind of looked forward to it!"
"Had a great Christmas away from home. A place to drag all the kids and their spouses away from everything else going on around the holidays. The place is large, lots of room to spread out, large kitchen for bigger groups. The bed I slept in was pretty comfortable and overall a comfortable place. Kitchen was very well appointed, probably more than most places we've stayed. Only 7 minutes from downtown Lansing so easy to pop over and grab dinner, drinks or groceries. We took the ferry across to Wisconsin to see the activities happening on the river."
