You and your guests will enjoy the convenient location, only 12 minutes from Lansing, IA or 7 minutes to the nearest boat landing. Quiet Hideaway

This is a lovely, quiet, secluded property with an incredible view. We spent alot of time on the screened in porch. Great relaxation spot day or night. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great place to spend a few days. Quiet, comfortable and relaxing environment. Beds are firm, shower is warm and AC is strong... Perfect spot for day tripping the bluffs.

Great place to stay

Very quiet and tranquil location with views of the Mississippi River. Plenty of room for our family of 4 and our dog. Nice size bedrooms with comfortable beds. Enjoyed coffee every morning on the screened porch. The cabin is also within close proximity to various fishing spots and some very good restaurants.

We had a great time. This is a very unique house with a beautiful, peaceful view. We saw a few bucks around. The house had a few Christmas decorations and it just felt so comfy and homey. We would definately stay here again.

Family get-a-way

My husband, two young adult kids and I had a mini vacation at the Cozy Ridge Retreat. The cabin is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room to play games and do puzzles together. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The porch is a gem, what an amazing view! We needed to reach out to the owner of the cabin with some questions, and he responded so quickly and was very helpful. We hope to return soon for a longer stay to enjoy the driftless area!

Cool place up on the bluff

We really enjoyed the location and the cabin! The space has great views of the river and accommodated our party of 6 very well. Whenever I stay in such remote areas as this, any "inside" recommendations on places to see, recreate, eat, etc are very helpful and would be a welcome addition to the place. Screen porch is great but it was cold during our trip so didn't get to enjoy it much. My one recommendation would be to upgrade the plastic eat/drinkware. We brought wine and nice foods for New Year's Eve, all of which we're served on cheap plastic that was also difficult to clean.

3 night nobody but us 72 year olds.

Very interesting “cabin”. 113 degree heat index, upon arrival, the AC was running and the inside temp was wonderful. Maybe could have used a couple of glasses, and a couple of chairs on the deck. It appeared to be still a work in progress in the lowest (basement) level, but for the two of us the two upper levels were more than enough. Comfortable bed. The interior appeared to be newly finished. I liked the interior. Maybe a little outsmarted by the smart tv, but the wifi allowed good access using my ipad. Quiet spot…reasonably isolated, interesting area to explore. I smiled at “park in the driveway” more like park by the front door. I was happy with the choice…no disappointments.

Awesome cabin in the woods!

Stayed here for my husband's birthday! The cabin is in the woods. Was fun to watch the deer and turkey every morning on the screened in deck! The cabin is beautifully decorated and very clean! Only one thing was if you are big coffee drinkers the coffee pot only makes 2 cups at a time. I would suggest a regular size coffee pot. There was only 2 of us so was no big deal. I realize this cabin is a new rental but some mixing bowls would be a nice addition to your kitchen. It is close to alot of boat ramps if your there for fishing. The host Mike was awesome through the whole process from check-in to check-out. He was very responsive when i had questions. Overall it is 5 stars on my scale.

Great place to kick back and unwind. The cabin was clean, and Michael was a great host, he was quick to respond to any questions we had. The view was absolutely amazing, and we were able to enjoy some wild life, deer, grouse and even a wood chuck! Would definitely recommend the cabin for a great get away.

Wonderful Place

This is a terrific place to stay. We loved being close to the river to boat and the place itself is in a very peaceful location. A previous reviewer mentioned that a bar got in and there was a smell, but we didn’t experience that over our 2 nights. Just a terrific place to stay with a great host! We’d definitely come back.
