Prior to arriving the owner reached out telling us to keep the home clean. Well to our surprise, we walked into a filthy home. My children's white socks were black, we found dirty dishes left behind, a dirty oven, broken fridge, blood stain on the couch, old fashion mouse traps in the basement, hair on the rugs, all the bedrooms had numbers on them, even one had sound proofing on the outside of the walls. it was creepy. When we contacted the owner he said the cleaning lady was there.
I could not allow my family to stay one night there. It was gross. Unsure what to do, we called Company. We explained the situation and they put us on hold for 40 minutes and hung up on us. We took pictures and left the home immediately. the next day we called after sleeping a the most beautiful inn. They informed me I would be getting a refund. To wait 48 hours and if I didn't then they would initiate it.
We call at the end of our vacation, which was 5 days later, and no refund. I call Company again and he says everything i was told was incorrect. He connected me with the owner and hung up the call.
The owner says I need to cancel the reservations, but I couldn't since it had past. He did agree to a refund but wasn't issuing it. I call Company and they said he needs to call them and they can access his account with his permission and process the refund for him. I messaged the owner twice with the number. He never called so 2 weeks later we disputed the charges.
