The best area to stay in Berberana is within the village itself or in the immediately surrounding countryside for a peaceful retreat.

Berberana village is quite small, centred around its main square and the Church of San Cornelio y San Cipriano. You'll find a few local amenities here, such as small shops and traditional eateries. Staying directly in the village offers the convenience of being able to walk to these spots and experience local life.

For couples seeking a quiet and secluded getaway, the rural areas just outside Berberana are ideal. Here, you'll find country houses and guesthouses located amongst the fields and rolling hills. These accommodations often boast lovely views and provide a tranquil base for exploring the natural beauty of the region, such as the Montes Obarenes-San Zadornil Natural Park, which is easily accessible by car.

The best time to go to Berberana is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is most pleasant for exploring the region.

During these periods, you'll find comfortable temperatures, ideal for enjoying outdoor activities and sightseeing without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. The countryside surrounding Berberana is particularly beautiful in spring with blossoming flora and in autumn with the changing colours of the leaves.

For those interested in hiking or cycling through the Montes Obarenes-San Zadornil Natural Park, spring and autumn offer the best conditions. The trails are less crowded than in peak summer, and the natural beauty of the landscape is at its most appealing, making for a tranquil and engaging experience.

If you're planning a trip focused on culinary experiences, particularly wine tasting in the nearby Rioja Alavesa region, both spring and autumn are excellent.
