This hotel has a lot of potential, but is let down by poor maintenance. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the location is good. The pool area was also lovely. The rooms however were quite a bit below standard unfortunately. The bathroom had black mould on the ceiling, and the paint was bubbling due to some obvious damp issues. The sink drained extremely slowly, and there was quite a few mould spots in the shower and around the bath. In addition, none of the bathroom doors would stay shut. Otherwise - housekeeping was good and the sheets and towels were very clean. The room was also kept clean throughout our stay, so kudos there. Strangely, there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room which I think should be standard in a hotel at this price point. I probably won't return to this hotel as there are many many other choices in Benidorm, but it's definitely not the worst hotel I've ever seen

Nice clean spacious room, the shower is lovely proper power shower, massages your back. My only complaint is that the food wasn’t great. Vegetarian food is placed around meat and people don’t care so everything was cross contaminated. I ended up having to get to dinner 1st at 7:30pm, just so I could eat. If you eat meat then the hotel is a blast perfect stay, if you don’t eat meat and like a decent breakfast & dinner then I would avoid the hotel until they place vegetarian dishes aside, on its own. All inclusive drinks list is alright, cocktails are limited but they do shots so that was nice. Location of hotel isn’t perfect, okay if you just want to take walk up to the beach or strip but old town is a 40 min walk so you may want to stop for a drink (or two!) on the beachfront. If you do struggle to talk or any conditions then please find a different hotel. Staff were incredibly friendly, especially the two men in the indoor bar. Will likely go back to Sandos when I come back to Benidorm as better location and food, but BCL was alright. Not bad, not great, alright. All rounder, 7/10.
