"Me and my husband stayed in room 1 for 1 night and we were blown away by the great standard of La Vieja Botica. The room was excellent, loved the interior. The bed and the linen was luxurious as well as the towels. The host was so sweet and helpful in every way. We would very much recommend this place and would like to come again. "Fantastic Bed and Breakfast , Ann & Frank are lovely friendly hosts eager to make your stay memorable. Good breakfast. Beautiful terrace with views down the mountain to the sea. Hot tub a bonus. Super spot for walking the 3 villages of Competa, Canillas and Archez and some great restaurant recommendations from the hosts. Will come again!"

"Prachtige locatie met heel mooi uitzicht over het dal. De eigenaren Jan Teun en Ria doen er alles aan om het hun gasten naar de zin te maken. Echt aan alles is gedacht. Overal gezellige zitjes in een prachtige rustige omgeving. Bovendien is er een heerlijk ontbijt, met liefde geserveerd door de eigenaren :-) Echt een aanrader!"

"A good location for us, we know the area from previous visits. We wanted somewhere close to Competa but El Dorado had a the added bonus of a pool!!! Marek and Derek have thought of everything, the room was spacious with good shower facilities and wardrobe space. We were not expecting the offer to have lunch and dinner, as we travel around quite a lot we did not take up this extra offer.
