"The property was lovely and it seemed newly renovated and was very spacious. It was minimally yet perfectly decorated and very welcoming when we walked in the door. The towels were folded in a nice little package on each bed and there were welcome waters which didn't go unnoticed. They had all the necessities we could ever need. The beds were cozy and clean. We greatly appreciated the donut shop next door! We found parking easily and not far from the building and it was very easy and...

"The property is great... Its a boutique-like hotel for the young. The shower lacked a grab bar, I'm 64, showering with nothing to hold on was a little nerving. The halls have a very strange smell and are EXTREMELY bright and hot, feels like a hospital operating room. The staff was AMAZING and very pleasant. The rooms are very nice with very comfortable beds/pillows. Kind of off the main strip, so its very low key."

"The Palmer House has many wonderful qualities to it. It’s a perfect location for those looking to explore Chicago. It’s right next to an elevated train stop and a close walk to many places. It’s a beautiful old historic hotel, incredible lobby, and for the most parts the rooms are well appointed. My room 16-179, was relatively clean… lot of smudges on the two mirrors…, the bed was very comfortable, and the amenities worked well. Perfect for a solo trip. It would not be a good room for two people or a family, seeing as it is way too small."
