"My spouse and I stayed at this hotel during our vacation in Canada. We booked this property because the photos online looked very appealing, but unfortunately the actual condition of the hotel did not match our expectations. The biggest issue during our stay was the cleanliness of the room. It did not appear to have been properly checked or cleaned before our arrival. The microwave had greasy fingerprints all over it, and the refrigerator still contained a melted ice cream container left behind from a previous guest. This immediately made us question what else may have been overlooked during the cleaning process. The shower also had noticeable brown spots and residue that I personally had to scrub and clean myself before feeling comfortable enough to use it. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of this. In addition, the dresser was damaged and falling apart, and the iron provided was heavily scratched and left black stains on our clothing. Another frustrating issue was the elevator constantly breaking down. At one point, we had to walk up the stairs to the 8th floor, which was very inconvenient. I do want to mention that the staff was welcoming and friendly. One gentleman assisting guests near the elevator was especially kind and helpful throughout our stay. The parking was also convenient. Overall, while the staff provided good customer service, the poor cleanliness and maintenance issues greatly affected our experience."
