Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre

Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre

8/10 Good
"The location was amazing; the facility is under renovation, so the restaurant is not open. They did provide some breakfast bars and fruit in the room. The room was freshly renovated- very clean and up to date. Our next door room neighbors were very loud until 11pm, and their cooking smells permeated our room. Our main complaint would be that the internet was very spotty and slow. It would cut out sporadically, and was difficult to engage, especially in the evening. The front desk said they had no other complaints."

"Wish there were kitchen utensils of some sort in room. Had a full kitchen but absolutely nothing in the room to use. Was a bit disappointed in this, as I was hoping to cook a few meals there, that’s why I had booked this room 😔"

Places to visit in the wider area include Northumberland Ferry, Charlottetown Port and St. Dunstan's Basilica. You'll also find Brudenell River Provincial Park and Victoria Row in the area.
What is a historic hotel like in Belfast?
Guests who choose historic hotels have the opportunity to stay in a building officially recognised with a historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world can take the form of castles, palaces, grand homes or even old police stations, pubs, lodges or skyscrapers — any building that's been identified as being of special interest. These types of hotels in Belfast usually retain authentic elements such as period features or traditional architecture in guestrooms or communal spaces.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. "Historic hotel" is a term often used in the US, while "heritage hotel" is often used in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to focus on the architecture and building. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the cultural value and how it influenced the community.
Do historic hotels in Belfast have modern facilities?
Yes, efforts are made to preserve historic facades and treasured traditions, but hotel interiors are fitted with modern conveniences and safety features. Tourists who book a stay can expect the usual amenities you'd get from a hotel such as WiFi, heating and air conditioning, and updated bathroom facilities. Booking a historic hotel in Belfast doesn't mean you're picking a place that's uncomfortable for guests or rundown.
