A stunning home shared with visitors. So welcoming and comfortable. Easy to communicate with. Very clean. Beautiful, well kept gardens, even in the rain. Good location. Very hospitable hosts and staff. Excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel.
What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth! The breakfast prepared for us made us all feel at
Home and was delicious! I wish our stay could
Have been longer. I would love to stay at this beautiful property again.
A very warm welcome and introduction to the property. The bedroom was large l, cool and comfortable with a more than adequate breakfast. The grounds and gardens were immaculate.
This was the highlight of our trip last year. Such a wonderful imnersive experience in a historic chateau. Very cozy and elegant at the same time. We really loved it. I would go out of my way for a return visit.
What an amazing experience this was to stay here! Real French countryside in a historic Chateau, I can't recommend this place enough. We were visiting St Mont Michel and this was a short drive from there.
Flott baseng. God utsikt. Hyggelige folk der,god service.
Kun frokost her.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this lovely house near St Malo and Le Mont St Michel. The house has a beautiful garden , a superb swimming pool and is tastefully decorated throughout. The family live there and are delightful and very helpful. Highly recommended.
It was a wonderful experience. The family was very welcoming, even the very friendly dogs. Don’t miss visiting the beautiful gardens and maze. Breakfast was made to order, and the daily made croissants were so good.
Estuvimos 3 noches. Repetiría seguro! Ojo, no hay restaurante en el hotel!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
The room was dated. While it's charming, but not comfortable by modern standard.
This is a gem of a place. The room is well decorated and beautiful and the bathroom is perfect, large and well done. The gardens are magnificent and so well tended, make sure you see them and walk through the maze, the owners are available and extremely hospitable, the breakfast was a fabulous mix of delicious food and coffee. It is a wonderful slice of history. While the location is a bit remote and restaurants are no closer than 15 minutes, the owners have prepared a pamphlet of where to go, and since we arrived very late in the evening they called ahead for us to get a reservation. We were told they have concerts there for the locals, and I wish we could have been there for that. Highly recommend this wonderful place.
