"We were initially given a room on the first floor, but on returning after going for a meal, we were asked to move, to a room on the ground floor. After five minutes we were asked to move again to the first floor, next to our original room!. The receptionist was very apologetic. We think the bathroom needs updating, it has a shower over the bath, but no hand rails, so getting in and out, can be difficult, as there is nothing to hold on to."

Room was ok, mattresses were both hard so wasn’t the best nights sleep and we had noisy neighbours, as the walls must be thin- children arguing till near midnight wasn’t the best!!! Woke up with a sore back and a little stiff. Radiator in bedroom wasn’t working so the room felt quite cold compared to the bathroom which was lovely and...

"Very much a Ghosts of Motley Hall hotel. I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my room yet the hotel seemed to have very few guests - not sure what that was all about. The staff do try their best but the place seems to be run by management from an Agatha Christie novel. My room had such a tiny bathroom too."
