Location is super great. Booked a bed in a female room, not bad but not like the photos, photos are stunning!. I know that bathroom is not in the room but didn't know that u should walk down and then up stairs to reach the bathroom!. The chill out room isn't good, not organised, and smell dirty. Overall for myself: not bad for the price for no more than one night

Due to having a listed building, we are limited with space, so try to do the best we can with the layout we have. But our housekeeper would have been more than happy to give you your deposit back. We are very sorry for any inconvinience regarding towels, we had ran out and were awaiting a delivery. Had a nice stay
Nice and friendly hostel, with a pub next to it with young ppl. I was happy to have free breakfast and there was even a chill out room upstairs. The only thing a bit annoying was the bathroom unisex.

Central bed for the night
It's a fine place to stay in Bath. It's very central and the bathrooms are very clean. There is a lot of outside noise at night, but it advises that so there are no surprises. The 'kitchen' facilities are limited.

Due to being a listed building we are limited in what we are allowed to do with our space - we try to make the best of this by providing fridges, a microwave and tea and coffee facilities for guests to use! Great hostel. Would happily stay again
Great hostel. Up to the standard of other St Christopher Hostels. Clean, well painted and tidy. Chill room has kettle, microwave, fridge (with shelf for personal food and shelf for free food), tea and coffee. Plenty of settees, games and a book exchange shelf. Reception is in Belushi which can be very loud but good atmosphere. The staff were, without fail, friendly and helpful. Luggage lockers in the basement of Belushi. I only marked this as a 4 not a 5 simply because of the number of stairs. If you are fit and energetic then it would a a definite 5. Amazingly well situated.

The room and the toilets were clean. The staff was also nice. The only thing is because there is a pub downstairs, it is noisy after 10pm which made it difficult to fall asleep some nights. But I would still recommend it as it is pretty close to Pulteney Bridge.

Great pay for a solid stay. Journeyed to bath for the day on a solo trip. The beds are super comfortable. Everyone in my hostel (12 mixed) was very considerate- we did have a couple people snoring and the hostel does provide free ear plugs, but snoring is something I expect in a hostel. I give it a top rating because for the price you cant beat it. A super comfortable bed, a female only toilet on the top floor. Yes there is a bar downstairs and I was hesitant to find out the night I booked they had karaoke, which is on Wednesday nights. But the karaoke ends at midnight and even in the hostile the sound doesn’t carry too much. The sounds is filled enough. They also give you 25% off food downstairs and offer a 3 GBP breakfast that really gives you enough to choose from and is help yourself. You won’t get any croissants or eggs but at 3 GBP you can’t beat eating on a budget here. Each bed had its own night light and it’s own charging area. The bad: the commons area is stained with stale beer order. You can tell it’s just penetrated itself into the building. But the smell is only in the commons area and hallway. Which I only spent about one minute maybe total in.

Very nice hostel attached to a bar downstairs. Discounts at the bar with your stay, and close to Roman Baths and fashion museum. Big area upstairs for hanging out/preparing food. Would recommend.

It was really loud at night because the hostel is over a bar and the noise from the street was loud. We were on the top floor and had trouble sleeping. The bathrooms were clean and great. Our room wasn't as clean as I would have liked.

Great destination for people who love partying
This is a great stay-over spot for partying and drinking, especially singles. Not good for couples. Shared toilets/showers means you are sharing two locations with everyone there, and not everyone shares the same standards for cleanliness. Week-end partying at the pub downstairs has the building thumping until 2am. Earplugs are free and almost work. Our room had view of enclosed roof outside bathroom, and rooftop garbage included old shoe and undershirt. Location is terrific, right in the center of the tight little historic area. They have done a great job squeezing living quarters into the historic building. Partying sounded like everyone downstairs was having a great time. Staff is great, although we had to wait to talk with them until they were finished serving beer. We felt a lttle bit trapped. Plumbing problem ended our stay. Jack was particularly helpful in aiding our escape. Thank you, Jack. Maybe the partying/drinking opportunity would eclipse room deficiencies for some guests. Memorable experience, but not a pleasant one for an older couple.

Horrible horrible horrible, from the moment I arrived. The pub were reception was STANK. The staff were patronising. Had to pay for a locker to store my bag before check in and after check out. The hostel was next to the bar and was so ridiculously noisy until 2am (when 1am was the advertised close). The pillows were whisper thin. And don't get me started on the bathrooms. Nasty dirty bathrooms (co-ed to boot) with the most horrendous showers known to man. More aptly described as a fire hose - if you manage to press the button on the entire shower cubicle (and the floor outside) is BLASTED with a torrent of water. This lasts for about 20-30s then turns off. As if I want to turn that back on. And there are horrible stagnant puddles of water that smell like they've been there a while. And the "lounge" just stank of weed. Fun!

Noisy neighbourhood but in the city centre!
I stayed there for two nights in a 6-person female dorm. At first I found it difficult to find the hostel because I didn't know the hostel operates a bar as well. So the ground floor and the reception is actually a bar and you go upstairs for the rooms. It is really nice to go for a drink but that could be very noisy at night. There are 8 rooms in total with just 3-4 bathrooms and toilets. It is okay as long as the rooms are not completely full indeed. They have included breakfast and the breakfast is toast, ham and cheese and some cereals. Nothing fancy, but that's alright. It is quite close to the city centre so despite its noise during the night, it's not a bad option if you wish to stay in Bath :)

Hostel is OK. Everything fine except for the map being wrong and having to pay 10 pounds for parking because it was in the town, not out a bit like the map suggests. Don't bother with the restaurant. Bad service. Asked for a bacon burger and it was served without lettuce tomato and onion - which are clearly stated on the menu as being included in "all burgers". when queried there was huge debate over this, despite it being obvious in black and white. Five minutes passed, with the burger and chips now close to cold, the burger returns with a thin, single piece of tomato and a few sad scraps of lettuce. no onions. the attitude was appalling.

Good staff, fair breakfast, nice roommates, only thing i have to complain is the noise at night - really don't think it is a good idea to build hostel on top of an inn... and busy traffic noise outside somehow get into room through ventilation holes - we didn't open any windows but still it was really noisy.
