Headmaster’s Retreat occupies the entire lower ground floor of a gothic Victorian villa, situated close to the centre of Bath. The sitting room has plenty of seating and dining space with bohemian decor, this apartment feels like a home and makes for an inspiring and comfortable retreat during your stay in Bath. This is a character-filled building and is not the "perfect boutique hotel" so many guests desire nowadays. We booked the apartment after another landlord let us down. We were grateful to find this flat at very short notice. Communication with the landlord was easy. The flat was fine, a bit shabby, but we knew that from the reviews. Location was good (close to the centre of Bath) though the street was a bit grotty. I think those things are reflected in the relatively good value of this property.

Lovely owner, very accommodating. Property quirky as described, although it’s difficult with an older building the cleanliness was very poor and property needs more talc! Everything needs a good scrub then it would be perfect!
The property was well situated and very easy to get into the centre of Bath. It was well appointed and comfortable, and had everything we required. Just a couple of small points. We could have done with more tea towels, loo rolls and waste paper baskets.
