"Disappointed that the spa was only available to guests between 8am - 10am and from 7pm-9pm. Other times was a charge of £70ppp day. The hotel is lovely but a couple of notes: floor tiles all cracked in our bathroom and the bathroom layout meant access to the shower over the bath was a negotiation and would have been tricky if you weren’t fully mobile. In general, great location but at the price I’m left a little disappointed. "

"overall we had an excellent stay. staff were excellent. Breakfast waa delicious. bed was comfortable and room was quiet. room was clean and well maintained. good location. The disappointment was the room was much smaller than picture on expedia. in making your reservation ask them about the size of the room. location is good but it is hard to get out of the parking lot due to hedges blocking view it made id difficult"

"Overall our stay was pleasant. The room and hotel itself is beautiful. Our issue came with the food. We wanted some food at about 9:15pm sent to our room and all that was available were tiny sandwiches which were not substantial. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels that offer far greater choice and variety with room service, especially when it’s at a relatively normal hour. We had high hopes for the breakfast but unfortunately was underwhelming for a whopping £30 per person I was expecting a lot more choice. The flavours and offerings for a 5 star hotel were sub par. The eggs benedict felt like it was made at a 2 star hotel. I would say that also waiting about 20 mins for each dish was far too long. It looks like the hotel is lacking a proper breakfast buffet reminiscent of what you would expect at a luxury hotel. It’s safe to say although the hotel is beautiful I will not be staying again although the spa and massages we had were lovely."

"Basic and easy for last minute stay as our train back to London was too late. Very basic but clean. Warning that windows don’t open. We paid “extra for window” that doesn’t even open. "
