“Charming cabin…” describes this gem and more in the Shenandoah Valley The cabin is generously outfitted and very clean. The host preparations and guidebook alone are top-notch, let alone the charming amenities and coziness in this state of the art cabin. Would definitely choose this ‘find’ for our next visit to Basye, VA
The Mills Family Lounge provided a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing weekend. The space was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay.
The house was perfect for our weekend with family. There was so much natural light and the fireplace, with firewood provided, was really nice. We enjoyed Shenandoah Caverns, a hike around Laura Lake, and the Rt. 11 Chip Factory.
We enjoyed the view from the large deck, the fire pit, and the location, just 2 blocks from Bryce Resort. Our group of 7 had plenty of room to move about inside. The host was awesome and we plan to book this property again!
We loved our stay at the Mills Family Lodge - The space is as advertised: spacious, comfortable, very clean and well equiped, very close to main resort (a few minutes walk), with a huge lovely deck off main living space, and even has a handy "book" of rules/suggestion/important information related to the stay. We are definitely planning on returning!
Clean and comfortable house in the woods. Great, large, deck with a view of the mountains and sunsets. Host was very available, responsive, and friendly. Great choice if you want a quiet vacation.
The house was perfect! It was very clean and in a great location where the golf course is just walking distance away. Jennifer was a great host and was always available when I had a question.
Lovely weekend. Nice home. Perfectly located next to Bryce Resort. Pictures made the living room look larger and lighter than it is, but since it was just me and my wife, it was fine.
This was a one-night stay to break up our long drive to another location. Everything was as advertised. It was evident that the owners take great pride in this house. Everything was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.
I have been skiing at Bryce annually for 40 years, and had previously always stayed in my family’s timeshare. We had enough family coming this year that my husband and I decided to split off from the group and rent this wonderful cabin for us and our two young kids. I am so glad we did! This cabin is so lovely, well maintained, and space is well utilized. It is so close to the ski resort, and was such an inviting place to come home to each evening.
We enjoyed a nice weekend getaway. Very close to Bryce Resort and Lake Laura. Canoed, hiked, and enjoyed local wineries. House was the perfect size for adult family member of 5—could’ve comfortably housed more. Enjoyed campfires in the evening. Short drive from DMV area.
We arrived bit later than expected on Fri and it was dark, so couldn't really see the roads at night! However once we arrived it felt like we were home. The space, the location, the ambience and the overall experience we had it was nothing but spectacular m will highly recommend!!
Loved staying at Jennifer’s house in the middle of the woods at Bryce Resort. So close to nature with deers and chipmunks around in the area. The house is spacious for a family of 5 with three teenage kids.
All facilities where available to use and communicating with Jennifer was easy. Would highly recommend this house if you want to relax in the nature and explore this part of Virginia
This is the most throughout, complete, comfortable property we have stayed at on the east coast from GA to ME. The hostess was amazing. Immediate responses to any of our questions before or after we arrived. The cabin was perfect. Great location, easy to get to and easy to travel around the area and get back to. I have to mention the bed in the master bedroom. It was even more comfortable than the bed we have at home!! Stay here the first chance you get.

We had the pleasure of staying at this charming chalet for two nights, and it was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home.
The chalet was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we could need. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare our own meals, and the cozy living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The location was ideal—surrounded by stunning scenery and close to hiking trails, we were able to enjoy nature while still having easy access to local attractions. The outdoor space was a highlight, providing a serene spot to unwind and soak in the views.
Overall, our stay was a wonderful escape, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this chalet for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!
We found the cottage very peaceful and well equipped. Location is great as it is just a short walk to the ski area. My chef husband had lots of fun in the kitchen. Even though it was very cold the house was cozy and warm.
I do recommend the listing include a statement saying 4 wheel drive is required if there is any snow. The road the house is location on was plowed but not treated, so it was very icy.
