The property location was great, walking distance to most of the main sites. The room itself was pretty large as we stayed in the triple room. However, the bathroom was dated, the shower door was off the hinges and very flimsy, the drain was clogged and would cause the water from the shower to leak on to the main bathroom floor and the drain would not catch it. Overall, the hotel would need some renovations IMO.

Hotel not far from Plaza Catalunya, in a convenient position for both business and tourism, the street is quiet and you sleep well at night. Small room, TV located on the side of the bed and practically impossible to see, window that has a very ugly internal courtyard (see photo)

The hotel works. Pros: It’s cheap, very nice looking, the AC works well and the staff were quick to smile and say hello. Cons: the room was small and had a view on nothing but a blank wall and the hotel itself didn’t offer a ton of amenities. But as long as you’re expecting a cool and secure place to sleep in a good, central neighborhood, you’ll be very happy for the price.

Chance find of an elegant, quiet comfortable hotel

We booked into this hotel at 2hrs notice when our Barcelona to LHR flight was cancelled. It is a short taxi ride from the airport and walking distance from lots of interesting places. The hotel is wonderfully quiet even on a weekend, and has very comfortable furnishings in the rooms and even in the reception area. Our room (201) had high ceilings and a wonderfully large bathroom tiled in pink marble. This hotel is clearly old but well maintained and has a quiet elegant air. The staff are friendly and helpful. The compensation for our cancelled BA flight should more than cover the cost. This is a hotel I would love to return to.

It’s really a 2.5 stars hotel advertised and sold as 4 stars. Very basic amenities. Military grade mattresses - too firm and noisy. Large bathrooms, but not very clean and well maintained. The only positive - the location is perfect! Walking distance to everything in the old town.

Our room was not ready 30 minutes after check in time. Really old building and not enough electrical outlets to charge all devices. Shower was leaking outside the tub because the glass screen was not sealed properly. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
