Definitely recommend it

We were the first one to stay at the hostel, since it had just been newly built and just finished decorating the room when we got there on our first night. The lady there was really kind and friendly, she helped us with everything we need and even helped us carried our luggage to the second floor. The hostel is really easy to find, since it’s just at the corner and it’s really close to the metro station which is about 3 minutes walk. The room is completely new with all the new furnitures and new bed new everything. Sometimes we can hear noises from the other rooms, but it wasn’t that bad, it didn’t disturb us. The shower was great and the AC heater worked just fine, it helped us a lot since it’s really cold in Barcelona. The location is great for the price.

Good price, clean, nice staffs

It was really nice stay. Staffs are so kind and room was clean. Regarding it’s price, I would definitely stay if I ever visit barcelona again. Room was little, but had nice toilet&shower booth in good size. They cleaned up my room everyday, so I could stay in really good condition. One that I wasnt satisfied was that no natural lights coming in the room. Overall, it’s really nice I would recommend to my friends.

Hotel aconchegante

Hotel com pouco espaço. Acesso aos quartos pela escada do prédio (que é comum com outros estabelecimentos e também bem apertada). Contudo, é muito charmoso e aconchegante. Fica em boa localização, próximo a transportes. Os funcionários são gentis.

Boa experiência

Gostamos muito da nossa estadia. A localização é muito boa, tem vários restaurantes, mini mercados, lavanderia próximos, tem uma estação de metrô próxima. Em muitos lugares conseguimos ir caminhando, a zona é muito tranquila para caminhar, inclusive a noite. O quarto é um pouco pequeno, mas bem novo e tudo funciona bem. O banho é bom e a cama também, tudo muito limpo. Não tivemos problemas com barulho. Recomendo!

Perfect for couples ok with tighter quarters

We loved this hostel! The room we had was small, there was a queen bed, a sink and dresser/organizer in the bedroom area that you could unpack into and then a bathroom with a decent sized shower in a separate room. But it was cute, we had a small balcony with a table and two chairs with an outdoor lantern that was so romantic and the front desk was clean, friendly and SO helpful. Helped Ian organize tours, call taxis, they do a small continental breakfast until 11am and then have coffee tea and water available after that all day. We would definitely stay here again, we each had a checked bag and a carry on duffel and a small personal item and it was difficult to fit it all in the room but we stored the hard case suitcase on the balcony and once we unpacked on the organizer/dresser we didn’t have to open our suitcases again which was nice. Perfect for our 4 night stay in Barcelona. We were super close to a bunch of sites as well and the metro/bus station if we wanted to venture further out

Un joli petit nid pour découvrir Barcelone

Très bel accueil sur place. Les gens de l’hôtel sont très aidants et sympathiques. La chambre n’était peut-être pas très grande, mais c’était propre et fonctionnel. À dix minutes à pied de la Sagrada Familia et à 15 minutes de la place Catalunya, c’est un bon point pour découvrir Barcelone. Tranquille et près de tout à la fois.

Die Lage ist optimal!!! Das Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit!!! Das Frühstück mit Croissants und Hefebällchen ok. Dazu Kaffee, Tee, Milch, Kakao!!! Alles ziemlich eng, aber ausreichend. Bei geschlossenem Fenster einigermaßen ruhig. Klimaanlage einwandfrei!!!

Great Stay, Weird Info

The Hostal Central was great overall - the only drawbacks were the lack of correct information we got ahead of time. Hotels.com lists check-in as happening from 8:00 - 23:00 every day, when actually these are the hours of reception and check-in was at the more normal time of 14:00. The wifi was a little spotty (although admittedly I was testing fate by watching Netflix) and although I had asked ahead for two twin beds instead of a double, I got a double, which was a letdown. That aside, the room was clean, the shower was lovely, the aircon worked a dream, and the location was, as the name suggests, very central.

Stuff pretty nice and helpful, location is convenient and close to metro, room is pretty clean except it's really small, as well as the elevator. They also provide simple breakfast even I booked with breakfast. A small market is downstair and a few Chinese restaurant nearby

The two reception ladies were all very kind and helpful to highlight the sights in Barcelona and gave us a really good direction to use T10 to the airport. The complimentary tea/coffee and croissant really made us a good start of a day.

We liked that the rooms were renovated and the housekeeping service was superb. We liked the location and the free coffee or tea and pastries every morning. We had hot water all the time without any problems. The young girl from the reception was very friendly and polite, but the older one not really. We didn’t like that is noisy, the walls are not thick enough and we could hear the young couple first then there were kids and also the noise from outside. Even though I would recommend the place as the location and the renovated rooms definitely worth the money !

Cute room for a nice price

I highly recommend this hostall! Great price for the amenities and location, and it was perfect for a solo traveler. I loved the room — the bed, the shelving surrounding the sink, etc. One very small criticism: it’s a little confusing trying to find the lobby (they share a building with another hostal and the lobby is behind a window-less door on the second floor). But I eventually figured it out and the staff was helpful. The light breakfast bar in the morning is also a nice touch.
