I booked a premium room for three nights, but unfortunately there was nothing “premium” about the experience. Pros: - check in was smooth front desk personnel was pleasant - room came with bathrobes and a safe. - There is a cafeteria/deli in front of the hotel that was very reasonable, a big plus. There is also a little grocery store nearby which is convenient. Cons: - shower knob was broken. Since the shower was unusable, I decided to take a bath instead, only to discover that the tub was draining very slowly. My husband reported the shower issue, and to their credit, maintenance responded promptly and fixed it. However, by the second night, the tub drain had become even worse, so we informed the front desk. When we returned later that day, the tub stopper had been removed completely, leaving us unable to take a bath at all. - The hotel’s location was also less convenient than expected. It is quite far from most tourist attractions; the closest major site, Sagrada Família, is still about 1.2 km away or roughly a 20-minute walk. Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations.

So for being a upscale hotel it was dirty in the room. Bathroom floors need to be recaulked. We walked the town and it was in a good location. Staff is great. Breakfast was lacking refills of milk and didn't offer regular coffee.

The floors were black from lack of cleaning and led me to check for bed bugs and they were confirmed. I spoke with Nacho at front desk and was informed they were sold out. Bar and restaurant area looked great I have photo of towel that I used to clean the floors.

Great location.. 15 mins walk to la Sagrada familia..really close to metro stop, lots of places to eat around the hotel, mini supermarkets as well. 14 mins walk to a nice mini mall with lots to eat, shop and the flea market is also about a 16 mins walk, to get to the airport on the metro was a bit long, so be prepared. Overall, good hotel and would stay again.

Hotel Catalonia Sagrada Familia

The Catalonia Sagrada Familia is a lovely little hotel, with very friendly staff and a nice little bar and restaurant. While it may not be located in the best part of the city, it’s a 15 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia. There are some nice little cafes and restaurants dotted about the place within easy walking distance. I’d definitely stay there again and wouldn’t have any issues in recommending it to friends.

Great location close to the Sagrada Familia but small. We wanted 2 twin beds -- well we had 2 twin beds but they had to be so close to each other that it was really 1 king bed and not much other space in the room (could barely get my suitcase between the foot of the bed and the wall)

Great staff, nice breakfast, great location, the property is clean. For our room, bathroom is clean, water pressure and water temperature are great. Air conditioning is okay - temperature swings over night, sometimes it gets too warm without changing the setting. Some outlets for charging don’t work. Overall, this hotel is still a good choice.
