Climbing up and down the 43 steps to cottage can be tiring especially for the elderly. There is Liquer store very close buy and grocery store within 5 miles. I must say that prices there very high, but in no way does that reflect on owner. We certainly are looking forward to coming back for another stay."

"Great spot plenty of space in the house for everyone. Nice kitchen and livingroom obviously the salt water pool was great. We spent out nights near the fire pit and gazed at the stars. They really shine bright with no light pollution around here. Recommend having your monitoring coffee near the river access for a relaxing start to your day."

"A traditional family lake cottage. Peaceful, quiet, and rented with love. Everything from the thoughtful little notes in the home to the paintings on the wall makes you feel cozy and welcomed. Everything you could need or want is provided. The hot tub under the stars, on the water is really the icing on the cake."

"I absolutely loved this spot. I had such a great time and I actually miss it! I especially love the trails behind the inn. I had no idea that it was Pequot territory. It is really marvelous. Great to walk on. Not too hard, not too easy, tons of history, and a real sense of the sacred nature of Lantern Hill. I highly recommend."

The proximity to the downtown area was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. The host, Gerard, was a dream to communicate with, checking in with us several times. It was a perfect rental!"
