Cosy stay in cute cottage

To be honest we were somewhat disappointed, the overall cleanliness left a bit to be desired, some of the kitchen utensils were greasy and needed a bit of a wash before using. Also had to give the shower floor a once over as looked a bit dirty. The heating in the lounge area was great, an a/c and gas fire. Unfortunately the mobile radiator struggled to warm the rest of the house. We booked based on all the other reviews and maybe we are just a bit too picky. Thanks

Just Perfect
It was just so easy, from the check in to the check out. It was lovely and clean and a perfect location for us to go to and from the basketball stadium. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a place to stay in Ballarat. If i could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Great little cottage
Loved this little cottage: convenient location, lovely and warm, everything we needed in the kitchen plus outdoor bbq. Bed in master bedroom was very comfy. Donna was a very welcoming host, loved the choccies thank you! Would definitely stay again.

Donna's house is a warm, comfortable place to stay. Excellent communication, easy check-in & generous chocolates and milk. Very close to all things in Ballarat & a nice walk to Lake Wendouree. A home away from home. I'd highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in great location
Everything you could possibly need is there. The outside decking was great for relaxing on a hot evening. We have enjoyed staying here before and will happily stay again and again.

Why would you bother to stay in a motel. This little place has it all.. Warm ,and we'll maintained. Modern facilities like dishwasher, gas log fire. Sometimes a must in Ballarat.!. We love it and the host. Donna goes out of her way to help.. excellent.. thanks.

Comfy stay at Don's Cottage
We had a cosy and comfy stay at Don's Cottage. It is well equipped for a couple of nights or a couple of weeks. Contactless check-in was easy. Nice to have a few extras in the pantry. Chocolates on arrival was a nice treat. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Dons Little Gem
Stayed 5 nights at Dons Little House in Ballarat the beginning of March. Host Donna was a delight to deal with, replying to any questions promptly. The house it self looks as advertised, but even better when you step inside; nice and cosy, neat and welcoming with heaps of room and tasteful decorated. It has everything you need if you prefer to cater for yourself with modern appliances, well stocked kitchen utensils. One of the features I enjoyed was the quietness of the area; very minimal traffic and neighbour noise, perfect if you need to relax and destress. I would absolutely recommend Dons Little House for anyone that’s looking to stay in Ballarat. BM, Horsham

We had a lovely weekend stay! The house is very well equipped, especially for cold weather- electric blankets and a great gas fireplace. There is a huge outdoor covered deck and barbecue to enjoy. Close to town and all in all a great place.

Very convenience place for a family. Reasonable rent rate for a short stay. The property manager is very kind and friendly. Perhaps, an addition of wifi facility would make the place more interesting to young persons.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay!
Huge thanks to Donna for her hospitality. We enjoyed our stay here and would happily stay again. The house had character, was well-equipped and we didn't need anything more. It's a busy-ish road but quietens right down at night. It's across the road from a pub, but it's nothing like an inner city venue and was quiet as a mouse (and yes, we were there over a weekend). A lovely stay!

Xmas in Ballarat with family...
Donna's house is in very convenient location..The house is well equipped with everything you need. All appliance are modern..Bed was very comfortable...The milk in fridge was great plus the chocolate great . The seating in the house needs repadding ..Mirror in bathroom to high for medium height person plus some clothes hook to put clothes on for showers..

Character with quality
Donnas little house is exactly as described on the website,"quaint and cosy". It also has old world character but all the comfort and quality of a modern home. The outside decking gives the house another dimension making it feel much bigger and roomier. Donna responded promptly and check-in was a breeze. Will will certainly be back.
