"Lovely accommodation in a great central location in the heart of the Granite Belt 10 mins from Girraween NP for some great bushwalking Easy 20 min drive to Stanthorpe Pub within walking distance down the road if you don’t want to cook or drive Wineries galore 5 mins in any direction "

"This is our second stay at the Tavern - the room is really nice and comfortable and the staff are helpful. The only issue being that we were in town visiting family both times and this time both the nights we stayed (Friday and Saturday) were interrupted by the incredible volume from the patrons of the tavern itself. Totally understand people younger and cooler than I staying up past midnight on the weekend but it made it almost impossible to go to sleep before then and despite closing the windows it felt like the screaming, whooping, cheering and singing of the national anthem at 11pm was happening right outside our door. To sum up, the accom is great - but can be complicated due to the proximity of the bar."

"Cobwebs and spiders on the ceiling and air-conditioning unit. Stained and dusty carpet. Fan littered with dust. Stench in the room. "

"Our stay was very disappointing. The photos have been heavily enhanced with lots of extra lighting. The lighting itself in the cottage is very poor. The shower wasn't clean, and the smell of the oil diffuser (personal thing I know) was rank. Coffee and tea products poor and the freezer in the bar fridge was so iced up we couldn't put anything in it let alone make ice cubes. No tissues no flowers like in the photos. For the price paid I am very disappointed, and will not return. FYI I have never given a review like this ever before. Sue B."
