"The lodge is old so being in the downstairs rooms is not ideal. The lodge was just open the week before our stay so there was a lot of maintenance and restocking happening. There is one dining option at the lodge and it offers a very limited and expensive range of options. The food was okay but not for the cost. The nearest food is 45 minutes away. If you do bring your own food there are no microwaves in room. The breakfast and lunch option is worse and the service is not good. I’m hoping that the limited options are due to the recent reopening for the season but that doesn’t justify the prices for food. I guess they have no problem taking advantage of people being so remote. The views from the rooms are spectacular and the night sky is amazing! Also being in the park enables you to really spend time doing the great hikes and tours. So yes the lodge is old and dated but the location can’t be beat! It’s too bad that food is costly and limited and the staff left a lot to be desired service wise."
"The separate bedrooms with own door to bathroom was good. Room was clean and neat. The uneven parking area surfaces were challenging as well as the step to get in and out of the room."
"The room was large with a king bed, really good view of the mountains with its own private porch to sit out and admire the scenery, very easy to check in and out and just a elevator ride to the casino and restaurant, not what I would call a full buffet but still plenty of tasty food to fill your stomach, casino was well laid out with plenty of machines and games, didn't come out a winner but sure had a lot of fun trying."
"Awesome little spot. Even though it's right on the main drag through town, it was quiet. The staff is excellent. Got a good recommendation on a restaurant in town. I will stay here whenever I'm near here."
"Reservation made day of stay. Nobody at office but phone # left on door. Advised reservation was missed by staff and room not ready. Room was clean. Looked like upgrades being made especially the bathroom. Outside stair wells not clean with some trash."
"I tried two different rooms. The bed was broken on the first, there was hair on the floor of both bathrooms, and both freezers were disgusting. Also stain on the bedspread. It’s noisy because it’s right on the highway, and once the work trucks rolled in, that was the last straw. I took my family and paid for another hotel room for the night. It was so disgusting.
Oh, and there’s a picture of a pool in the ad, and the reason it looks strange is because they filled it in."
