Jim and Christie are excellent hosts, attentive and personable, who have provided a beautiful home away from home in a convenient, peaceful location. The house is very clean, well stocked with essentials, entertainment options, beautiful decor, and comfortable furniture. Honestly, we can’t think of a negative!"

"We booked a weekend getaway to unplug, relax, and spend quality family time together. Overall, it served as a wonderful home away from home, and the host’s hospitality was top-tier from start to finish!What We Loved:Outstanding Host Hospitality: The host was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. She generously allowed us to check in early at 3:15 PM, which gave us a head start on our weekend. Even better, after we checked out and realized we had left my daughter’s birthday cake behind, she immediately provided a lockbox key code so we could retrieve it. Her kindness and understanding meant the world to us.Proactive & Clear Communication: When a neighborhood internet outage occurred, she stayed in constant contact, sharing updates from the service provider and checking in on the neighborhood's status. Her efforts to keep us informed were much appreciated.Impeccable Cleanliness & Fun Extras: The home was exceptionally clean and well-kept. Having an ice machine was a great touch, along with complimentary water and snacks. We also really enjoyed and appreciated the selection of board games provided—it gave us a fun way to connect and pass the time together!Things to Keep in Mind:Seasonal Amenities: The beautiful pool was the main feature we were looking forward to, but because seasonal closure dates are set for early September, it was closed during our visit. That was on us for missing the fine print, but future guests should definitely double-check amenity availability dates when booking post-summer stays!TV & Internet Reliance: The home’s TVs rely on Fire Sticks, so when the neighborhood internet went down during the outage, television was temporarily unavailable.Overall, this is a spotless, comfortable home run by a genuinely caring host who goes above and beyond for her guests. We truly appreciated her warm hospitality!"

"This property was so lovely. The photos on VRBO do not do it justice. It felt so comfortable and just like home. There is plenty of all the creature comforts.It's also so close to Water Street and all the festivities, like market days on Saturday morning. You can catch the trolley in front of the cottage. It runs through main street down to the coastline. My husband and I will be back in June when our granddaughter graduates HS. Thank you for your hospitality."

"We made reservations for this house specifically due to its location; we were in town to attend a family member’s graduation ceremony from the Coast Guard Training Camp just across the bridge. This home was perfect for our family (3 Adults, 1 Teenager, and 2 toddlers)! Kitchen is very well stocked with cooking items from cookware to utensils, even seasonings! Bathrooms are have more than enough towels to use, rooms are comfortable, living area is cozy, dining area is spacious, and the backyard was very enjoyable. The local area is beautiful and quiet; not too far from shopping/grocery stores, restaurants and Busch Gardens. Host’s communication is by far the best I have experienced so far. If ever looking for a place to stay in this area specifically, would highly and always recommend this home! If we ever return to Gloucester Point/Yorktown, we’d love to stay here again. Overall: "

"Beautiful home and nicely furnished. The only downside I see is it is difficult for elderly that have an issue with stairs. Luckily, the sofa is comfy. Everything is close by and easy access. Our grandkids had fun at the little beach (with restrooms).And a nice walking path."

I have stayed in several homes through the years and have never seen such details trying to ensure guests comfort. The welcome started with a lovely personalized note when we first arrived. In the kitchen the small welcome basket and multiple teas and honey along with the coffee and flavored syrups for coffee showed the level of commitment to her guests."
