Beach & King - Stunning Ocean Views!

"Our family group of 11, ages 15-84, spent a week in this house and loved it! From the spacious living areas to the four homey, comfortable bedrooms with attached bathrooms, to the large porch with a great view of the ocean and neighborhood, it was perfect for us. The three youngest in the family enjoyed having individual sleeping areas. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with essentials, including a large refrigerator and plenty of ice. Bearskin Neck is a quick walk with good food options and fun shopping. A lovely small park is less than a block away. I was hesitant to book this place because it wasn’t the typical rental we choose (not so modern or “sleek”) but that’s what makes it so special. We discovered new objects of decor every day. :) So charming! At the beginning of our stay, we enjoyed the fireplace, but by the end of the week we used the effective window AC units. No problems, no complaints. We highly recommend Beach and King!"

"The space was very clean and looked exactly as it did in the pictures. The host was very good at responding to requests promptly. The walk to the beach was short, but it was hilly and was not doable with young children and a cooler and all the other things you would need to bring to the beach. The beds were very comfortable. It would have been good to know that the lower bedroom was in a finished basement and not on the main floor. From the website it seemed like the bedroom on the lower level was on the main floor and the other bedrooms were on the second floor. I asked what the stairs were like because I needed to know about which kind of baby gate I could use. The host sent a video which showed the stairs a little bit and we were able to see that there was a gate already installed which worked great for us traveling with little kids. My only complaint was that when we asked about extra towels they told us they only were going to supply us one towel per person and even though they did not have anyone staying there before us would not let us check in early unless we paid extra, which is fair, but it would have been nice to let us drop our stuff off earlier in the day. Overall I was very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again!"

"Our visit was like staying in a longtime family vacation home with meaningful furnishings, not like a commercial rental. Every detail inside and out is thoughtfully planned, bedrooms and sitting rooms comfortable, kitchen well appointed. Our host is most gracious and attentive.The upstairs bathrooms are a little cramped and the stairs to the top floor a bit daunting, but it is a great place for a large extended family or friend group."

"This penthouse was perfect! Mary was the best hostess, with awesome communication and great advice on food and things to do around town. So clean and lovely! We enjoyed the whole place, and especially loved the ocean view, and super comfy king bed in the master suite!"
