Hillside Oasis offers peace tranquility and homely comfort The views over the city and out the the Manukau Harbour are stunning. Witnessing the sunsets,listening to the stream below gives a real sense of natures best so close to the city . It is 32 kms to the Auckland harbour bridge and it is only 32 kms to Airport via the Southern Motorway. Hamilton is a 45 minute drive away Rotorua is 2.5 hrs. Thames Coromandel a beautiful scenic drive of 2 to 3hours. The studio offers a comfortable living room area with bedroom and kitchenette incorporated in the large open plan There is a seperate bathroom and seperate toilet. The kitchenette has one hot plate for boiling water in a pot or a fry pan , an air fryer, toasted sandwich maker and a microwave. A washing machine and dryer are available with extra fees applied. There is a smaller private outdoor area also a shared area at the entrance to the studio to be enjoyed weather permitting. In the summer months there is a heated swimming pool available from October to April with owner’s permission. There is a beautiful bush walk through native bush to a stream at the bottomof the hill This requires a reasonable fitness level and permission from the owners to venture out .

Best place to stay to start a journey into New Zealand. Wendy is super warm and open, super helpful and has great communication. The place will make you feel like you are at home. Very comfortable.

Absolutely The Best!!

We had a wonderful stay. Wendy and Alan were friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed, right down to a rental car when we had trouble getting one. Wendy took us into Auckland to make sure everything went smoothly for us. Our VRBO was outstanding and lovely. Their place was absolutely beautiful. If we ever go back we will definitely book there for another stay. We loved the swimming pool as well, so relaxing.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were excellent . We enjoyed the view from yard with a wonderful sitting area overlooking Drury and the surrounding countryside. One of our favorite places we stayed in New Zealand.

Fantastic property

Wendy and Allen are great hosts. I had numerous wonderful conversations. Besides the stunning view, the sheep are a plus. The accommodations were perfect, and if I had been near a good trout stream, I would have been happy to stay longer. A definite gem.

Stunning view and gorgeous place!

Our only regret was that we had to leave so soon! Wendy provided excellent driving directions with pictures to help us when google maps was a bit off. We found it, even in the dark. The gated entrance made us feel extra safe. The apartment is huge. A very comfortable bed and linens. Wendy left us a handwritten note and breakfast basket of eggs, bread, fruit and there was a fridge with cheese, milk, and coffee/tea fixings. Even a milk fridge to make fancy coffee. The place is spotless and big. We had our own private outdoor terrace with outdoor shower as well as shower inside. We were also welcome in their outdoor sitting area in their garden overlooking a sublime vista. The pool… just beautiful. Unfortunately our 12 hour flight delay negated our use. But it was amazing. Tilly the bonus dog was sweet too!
