Sitting well above the buildings that surround it, the suite`s outlook takes in the Waitemata Harbour, the Hauraki Gulf, and the full sweep of the CBD skyline in a panorama that guests consistently describe as genuinely jaw-dropping.

The suite itself is spacious and beautifully presented, with a quality of furnishing and finish that reflects both the building`s prestige and the care of its private owner. Access is via key safe — full instructions and codes will be sent the day before your arrival.

To ensure a smooth arrival, we ask all guests to complete a short online pre-check-in form and upload a valid government-issued photo ID before arriving.

A private airport transfer can be arranged at additional cost with at least 48 hours notice.

The Metropolis occupies a prime position on the edge of Auckland`s CBD, placing the city`s best experiences within comfortable walking distance in almost every direction. The Viaduct Harbour`s celebrated waterfront restaurant and bar strip is approximately seven minutes on foot — Baduzzi, Hello Beasty, Giraffe, and a selection of excellent wine rooms and bars that make the Viaduct one of Auckland`s most consistently enjoyable evening destinations. Commercial Bay`s flagship waterfront precinct and Britomart`s cobblestoned laneway dining are equally close.

The Sky Tower and SkyCity complex are virtually on the building`s doorstep, making this one of the most convenient possible bases for guests attending events at SkyCity or visiting the Auckland Convention Centre. Albert Park`s beautiful Victorian gardens and the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki — New Zealand`s largest art gallery — are a few minutes uphill, alongside the lively café and bar culture of upper Queen Street. Karangahape Road`s creative dining and arts district is a short walk, and Wynyard Quarter`s North Wharf precinct and Silo Park are equally accessible from this central address.

The Auckland Ferry Terminal is a short walk for daily services to Waiheke Island, Devonport, and the Hauraki Gulf. Britomart Transport Centre connects the full Auckland train network and is only six or seven minutes on foot. From the 27th floor, all of this — harbour, hills, CBD, waterfront — is visible simultaneously. It is a genuinely rare vantage point for a city that rewards altitude.

Auckland is easily explored from the Metropolis. Britomart Transport Centre is a 7-minute walk with full train network connections. The Inner Link and Outer Link buses connect the central suburbs with frequent services. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is nearby for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and Hauraki Gulf services. The Sky Tower, Viaduct, and Commercial Bay are all walkable. Uber and taxis are available throughout the CBD at all hours. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car.

The pool on the 8th floor is 22 metres long — a proper lap pool, not a plunge pool — and is exclusively available to Metropolis residents and their guests. Combined with the spa, sauna, and gym, this is a wellness facility that rivals anything Auckland`s boutique hotels can offer, available to you throughout your stay without the queues or crowds of a public facility.

This is a privately owned suite within the Metropolis building. While the building also accommodates Avani Hotels serviced suites, this apartment is a private residence — check-in is directly with us via key safe rather than through the hotel reception. This is a non-smoking, no-vaping property throughout. No parties or events. Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Checkout is by 10:00 AM.

Smoking, vaping, or drug use is not permitted inside the suite or anywhere in the apartment, building, complex or balcony.

In the rare case of a noise complaint or evidence of smoking, an additional fee of up to NZD $500 may apply.

Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
