Afio Mai is a three-bedroom holiday home above Little Oneroa, within walking distance of Little Oneroa Beach and Oneroa Village. It has two king bedrooms, a bunk room best suited to children, two living areas, a full kitchen, deck, wood-fired pizza oven, Smart TV, Sonos system, vented air conditioning and heating, two bathrooms, a separate toilet and parking for two vehicles.



The Space:

Afio Mai is a three-bedroom holiday home with two separate living areas, giving families and groups space to spread out while remaining connected.



There are two or three internal steps between some areas of the house.



The main living area connects with the kitchen and indoor dining space. The large kitchen has stainless-steel benches, open shelving and practical cooking equipment for preparing meals during your stay. A Nespresso coffee pod machine is provided.



The Smart TV and Sonos system are located in the main living area.



The second living area provides an additional space for reading, conversation or spending time separately from the main group. It does not have a television. This living area has a gas fireplace for use during the cooler months.



Air conditioning and heating are distributed through vents throughout the house.



Large doors connect the living space with the deck and outdoor areas.

The property has one main bathroom, an ensuite adjoining Bedroom 1 and a separate toilet located in the laundry room.



Off-street parking is available for up to two vehicles.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the home, deck, and outdoor areas.

Check-in is from 2:00pm, and check-out is 10:30am.

Early check-ins or late check-outs may be available for an additional fee, depending on same-day bookings.



The Neighborhood:

Afio Mai is positioned above Little Oneroa, within walking distance of Little Oneroa Beach and Oneroa Village.



Little Oneroa Beach and Oneroa Beach are both within easy reach for swimming and coastal walks.



Oneroa Village has cafés, restaurants, shops and galleries. Dining options in and around the village include Akito, Wai Kitchen, Fenice, The Local, The Oyster Inn and The Courtyard.



Mudbrick and Cable Bay vineyards are a short drive from the property.



Getting Around:

The nearest bus stop is a short walk from the house, with routes to the Matiatia ferry, Oneroa Village, Onetangi, and surrounding beaches.

The bus stops outside all major wineries on the island.



Car hire, e-bikes, and scooters are available in Oneroa, and there is off-street parking for two vehicles if you’re driving. Taxis operate across the island as well.



Other Things to Note:

This is a self-catered holiday home, not a fully catered stay. We provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, coffee, tea, and milk to help you settle in on arrival. Once these starter items have been used, guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies needed during their stay.



For properties with a fireplace, stays between 1 June and 30 September include a starter supply of firewood. Additional firewood can be purchased from local petrol stations, Woolworths, Four Square, and Mitre 10.



Beach towels are provided at properties with an available pool or spa. Guests staying at properties without a pool or spa will need to bring their own beach towels.



There is an Nespresso coffee pod machine and a plunger on site.



This property has central aircon and heating.



Minimum stays: 7 nights mid-December to mid-January, 3 nights on long weekends.



Like many Waiheke homes, Afio Mai runs on rainwater, so mindful use is appreciated
